UPDATE FEBRUARY 23, 2009: It's finished at last ... "Faded Coat of Blue," the first song on my new CD "Daughter of the 24th Michigan," a collection of music inspired by my trip to Gettysburg for the 145th anniversary.
Kristina Austin Scarcelli made her vocal debut at the age of two, when her parents first recorded her singing pop songs, and she has been singing and playing music ever since. Kristina holds a B.A. degree in communication and music and has studied musical theatre, jazz, and Bel Canto methodology.
Kristina has worked as a professional vocalist and musician since 1992. She sings regularly at upscale venues, corporate functions, and private parties and enjoys performing and recording torch jazz and midwestern country music. Kristina is an accomplished flutist and piccoloist and also
enjoys playing fife and pennywhistle.
She participated in a USO tour of Asia performing 86 concerts for American military personnel and has performed at The Opryland Hotel and The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Kristina has opened for numerous national acts and has appeared on the nationally televised broadcasts of America’s Thanksgiving Parade and the Nashville Network. She also had a role in a Lafontaine Automotive Group television commercial on WXYZ-TV Channel 7 (ABC) and has been heard on W4 Country 102.9 FM and 99.5 FM WYCD’s Dr. Don Show in Detroit, WTCM Newstalk AM 580 in Traverse City, WFBE FM 95.1 in Flint, and 93.5 FM WRQN in Toledo, Ohio to name a few.
Kristina performs annually as national anthem singer for the Ford Motor Company /AAA Student Auto Skills National Challenge held at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. She has served as national anthem performer for the Detroit WalkAmerica at Hart Plaza, on the Fox Sports network for the Detroit Shock (WNBA) at the Palace of Auburn Hills, and for the Detroit Tigers and Toledo Mudhens. She was featured performer at the Hockey Has Heart Black Tie Celebrity Gala honoring Detroit Red Wings' owners Mike and Marian Ilitch and former Detroit Red Wings' coach Scotty Bowman.
Her original music has received U.S. airplay on Gavin-reporting FM radio stations and made the Top 40 indie charts in Europe. On Mp3.com, Kristina’s music hit the Top 50 worldwide. Kristina won three Miss America Local Grand Talent Awards as well as the Miss America Quality of Life Award. She was also Hilton Hotel's Star Search ’92 Female Vocalist Champion.
Perhaps some spelling is different. However I did wish to share these words with you Christopher W Herbert New Zealand
7776 Gentle Eyes of Motherhood 20 October 2009
She was her daughter, her child of peace The light of a smile, the winter, without those dark nights
In her heart, her name was Kristen, in her soul, her mother’s daughter was aligned The one, the notably sensible, an intellect, holding hands with hope
To give as a mother would give, to accept, as a mother, toward her child Love, unconditional, from life and death, her child, once held close to the breast
The angel, now looking down in guidance, her hug, the softness of the wind Much as the warmth of the sunshine surrounding a heart, the heart of Kristen to forgive

Hi Kristina, it's been a while. How have you been? Been doing fine here. Enjoying life as best I can. I've been playing my guitars alot lately. And learning lots of new stuff which has been keeping me busy. Maybe someday we can have a jam session lol.
Thank you for adding our new MySpace page, Notes For Our Troops USA/Soldiers Speak Radio, where you will find all the latest news and features about our weekly radio shows! We are glad to have you for a friend!
I remember where I was that day, 09-11-2001, as I am sure most of us do and most of us need no reminder to pause and say a prayer today. You can honor the day in private or join with others in fellowship and no matter how you honor the day you are joined in thought with all who pause and pray.
Honor this Friday and enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend. You never know the last time you might see someone who means a great deal to you or who is close to your heart so you might use this weekend to give someone a hug and hold them a little longer or patch up a broken relationship before it is too late to ever hear their voice again. September 11, 2001 started out a very ordinary day and now it is a day history will never forget……………
Thank you so much for sending my packages. My mother-in-law mailed them to me. I really liked and appreciated everything! I am really looking foward to coming home next year for the pageant as well as competing in South Carolina pageants afterward. However, my home and heart will always be there in Michigan with my pageant family. I will be contacting you soon with my new address or should I say my temporary address as it will be changing at least once over the next couple months, so I can start the process on my paperwork for next year. Again, thank you so very much and I look foward to speaking with you soon!
