NAJBOLJI SPOT GODINE NA BEOVIZIJI - "ZIVOT JE LJUT"!!!!!
Na revijalnom delu Beovizije 2008. godine, Kristina je dobila nagradu za Najbolji spot godine, i to za spot "Zivot je ljut". Nagradu je primila u drustvu reditelja Petra Pasica, i tom prilikom se zahvalila kompaniji Fruvita (Hello) na presudnoj podrsci, kreativnom timu koji je ucestvovao u stvaranju spota, svojim "specijalnim " statistima - tu je mislila na fanove koji su jo pomogli statirajuci i glumeci u spotu, i ljudima koji su kupili njen album i slusaju njenu muziku , jer zbog njih "sve ovo sto radim ima smisla".
Kristina Kovac is a songwriter and producer, born in 1974. in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
She has been a musician since childhood, when she wrote her first songs , together with her sister Alex. Her early youth was spent in London, UK, where she and Alex were signed to a management company called «Mismanagement», and performed as support acts on UK tours with Labi Sifre and Eroll Brown (Ex Hot Chocolate). At that time, they collaborated with the likes of Derek Bramble (producer to David Bowie, Vanessa Williams, Faith Hill, Will Smith), Robert Maddix (drummer to Stone Roses), etc.
In 1996. Kristina returns to Belgrade, and the two of them release their first album under the name «K2», that has great success with the audiences, as well as the critics.The video to their first single «Ajmo u zivot» is still remembered as one of the best videos of that time. In 1997. K2 release their second album «A little soul», and in 1998. their debut album in Spain for EMI.
After that, K2 take a break from working together, and Kristina starts writing and producing for other artists. One of her songs winds up second place at the Serbian Eurovision song contest in 2004, and many of her songs get published in Serbia, Finland, Spain, Chech republic and Slovakia.
Also, in 2001. she starts making music for national marketing campagnes such as Reffeissen Bank, Telekom, Cipsi, Solo fruto, Legend, Merkator etc.
In 2005. she writes the movie score to the most awaited comedy sequel in Serbia, „We’re no angels 2“, and becomes the first woman to receive the award „ Gold mimose“ for best movie score at the Herceg Novi film festival in Montenegro.
Kristina has just released her first solo album that features some of the best musicians in the world like Vinnie Colaiuta (drums, played with Sting, Eros Ramazzoti, Anastacia, Pussycat dolls), Dominic Miller (guitar, Sting’s „right hand“) and Paul Turner (bass for Jamiroquai and Annie Lennox).
