Sounds Like
I've been told my music reminds folks of Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams, Sheryl Crow, and many others. It would please me to just sound like me.
Kristin Erickson has been singing, playing, and writing since she was a kid. She came of age musically in the Twin Cities vibrant music scene, and performed there and around the midwest for many years. Now a resident of beautiful Utah, she continues to perform in a variety of concert and festival venues. Her songs feature gorgeous melodies and lyrics with depth, what one listener called "ballads with bite." Her CD, "See What the Morning Brings" was noted as one of the best CD's released in Salt Lake City in 2006.
Kristin is a 2009 winner in the New Song Showcase at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas for her song "Beautiful". She won third place in the 2009 Suzanne Milsaps Songwriter Showcase at the Mountain Music Festival in Utah.
"Kristin's delivery features laid back guitar work and a soprano vocal that is achingly beautiful. The songs are sung with fearlessness, even peacefulness. This album is just too Beautiful (track 13) to remain a secret for long...."
Intermountain Acoustic Music Association Magazine.
A "seasoned veteran," Erickson's "hard work is evident in songs like "Even the Devil" combining smart lyrics with her unconventional delivery....,"
Salt Lake City Weekly.

Thank you for gracing "my" stage with your amazing presence and songs. It was my last gig of 2008, and I can't imagine a finer, sweeter way to ring in the new year.
You never age. I'm quite sure there's a "Dorian Gray" painting in your home. Anyway, it was a great pleasure seeing you again and you sounded lovely. Always, Barry
Kristin, good to hear from you! What's up? Are you playing and writing? Looking forward to doing some music in the area again and catching up more--I still remember our talk! Robyn
Kristin, I am loving, loving, LOVING your CD. Thank you so much for sending it. I am in awe. You are an excellent songwriter. At the moment, I am particularly fond of "Birdie," "See What the Morning Brings" and "Hornet. "
Awesome to meet you, Kristin. Thanks for the friendship (not just MySpace ;) ) -- new buddies are one of the real perks of these festivals. Keep playing, and keep in touch!
