Kristine Sa was born in Vietnam, immigrated with her family (including high-profile sister, Vietnamese singer, Tam Doan) at age 6 and grew up in Toronto, Canada, and began her official singing career at the age of 17 under Nemesis Records.
Kristine's career took off with the release of her debut album, I Never Knew [2002], with sales reaching as far out as Taiwan, Australia, and the United Kingdom. She continued her legacy with her second album, reBIRTH [2004]; her anime project, AnimeToonz3: Kristine Sa (Lemon and Lime Editions) [2005]; and, finally, Hopeless Romantic in February of 2007. She is well-known in the Anime community for her involvement in such shows as 'Suzuka', 'One Piece', and 'Ouran High School Host Club', as well as her concerts at countless Anime conventions throughout the United States.
Most recently she's released bilingual songs written using her first language, Vietnamese. The tracks titled "My Last Goodbye" and "Undeniable" are getting attention for their clever play on languages, seamlessly weaving in and out of English and Vietnamese in lyrical context.
Currently, Kristine is the host and executive producer of 2 bilingual, Vietnamese American talkshows "The Kristine Sa Show" currently airing on VAN-TV, channel 18-7 on DTV in Southern California and 55-2 in Houston, Texas, as well as "Up Close And Personal With Kristine Sa" on VHN-TV (directv channel 2073 nationwide).
Firstly, I want to give my deepest condolences to Leyna Nguyen and her close family and friends in Vietnam regarding the terrible Ketsana Typhoon incident. My prayer goes out to them during this traumatic hard times.
