About me:

Kristi Petersen Schoonover is a writer with an intense interest in the paranormal, particularly in the relationship between ghost tales/stories and the truths from which they were sprung. She is currently working on a very exciting literary project right now with Nathan S. Schoonover of The Ghostman & Demon Hunter Show and is editing her newest project Mourning After, which is set in and around Walt Disney World. Her first novella, A Single Sparrow, placed quarter-finalist in the New Century Writer 2003 Competition. Her short fiction has been featured in The Adirondack Review, Afternoon, Barbaric Yawp, The Circle, Citizen Culture, I Like Monkeys, The Illuminata, Chick Flicks, New Witch Magazine, Toasted Cheese, MudRock: Stories & Tales, Waxing & Waning, The Wheel, and a host of others, as well as Susurrus Press' I Am This Meat anthology. Her studies in poetry resulted in appearances in The Underwood Review, and part of her work was featured in Missing, an exhibit sponsored by the New York Historical Society and City Lore. She chairs the long-running writer’s community Pencils! Writing Workshop in Norwalk, Connecticut. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and Literature from Burlington College in Vermont and is currently pursuing her MFA at Goddard College in Plainfield, VT. Ultimately, she would like a professorial position at a college or university to better support her career in fiction. For more info, visit www.kristipetersen.net.
