About me:

*** Norway is the new Scotland! ***

I created this page to keep you up to date on:

A Woman of Choice

When 32-year old widower, Nicolas Hansen, found a battered and half-drowned woman on his property, he expected to return her to where she belonged. But when she regained consciousness, she had no memory of who she was or what happened to her. In the ensuing months, lives and passions tangle as Sydney regains her memory and faces her demons, forcing Nicolas to finally face his. Both must choose whether to live, and risk loving, again.

Set in the Missouri Territory, A Woman of Choice is a complex, character-driven story told against the backdrop of the Panic of 1819, Missouri’s quest for statehood, and our young nation’s struggle with slavery and “Indian” relations. Rich and varied supporting characters, whose lives entwine with Nicolas and Sydney, complicate their choices.

A Prince of Norway

Sydney and Nicolas’s romance continues with A Prince of Norway. Summoned by the royal family, the Hansens travel to Christiania (Oslo) in 1820. Nicolas, an American of royal blood, is being groomed to reclaim the Norwegian throne from Sweden. Will the seduction of power destroy his new marriage?

A Matter of Principle

In the third installment, titled A Matter of Principle, it is 1821 and the Hansens have returned to the brand-new state of Missouri. When circumstances force him to compromise, Nicolas’s anti-slavery principles push him toward politics. Racial attitudes of the day, and enemies from his past, threaten both his family and his reputation.

After all, Norway IS the new Scotland!

And please, tell your friends!
