Kronosfear is a black/death machine from Hamilton, ON. They have been gigging the local scene extensively for the last two years, and with the impending release of their first E.P., look for them to hit a club in your town!
Kronosfear was formed out of the ashes of two distinct bands: Empire of Frost and End of Eternity. Mic played in Empire of Frost, and they briefly had a drummer by the name of Neil. When Mic went on to play in End of Eternity, to help a buddy out, he brought Neil along. Originally playing gothic type metal, they soon started writing songs that were more in tune with their tastes: brutal black/death!!! The singer was not into it, and the band dissolved, but not before they secured the services of Kevan on bass. This was to be the initial core line-up of Mic on guitars, Kevan on bass, and Neil on drums.
Eventually, the boys brought in Ryland, of Gnarly Skull fame, as their vocalist, after he came into the practice room and started screaming one drunken night. This was the original gigging line-up. Many shows were played, way back in 2003. Things were not quite right, however, and the band soon disintegrated in the summer of 2004.
Come fall 2005, after concentrating on different projects for 18 months, the boys reconvened, this time with a second guitarist, Shawn. This line-up played only one show, and it was to prove to be their last. Shawn and Ryland both left afterward, and the band was at a crossroads: find a singer, or do it themselves? Enter the Reaper.
Soon after the previous members left, the band welcomed Casey Reaper, of Elevator 22 fame, on second guitar. With this, the most stable period for the band, with Mic and Kevan doing vocal duties, they played with many well known acts, including Cryptopsy, Skinless, and Martyr. Things were not to be, however.
The band was soon having problems working with Neil, who was going through tough personal crises. After many months spent trying to work together, the situation became untenable, and Neil was let go. The band brought in Chris, aka Gus, to be his replacement.
Chris got into the swing of things quickly, playing his first show only days after joining. After gigging steadily for several months, the band bid farewell to the Reaper, who was rejoining the newly active Elevator 22.
The core (Mic, Kevan, Chris) decided to not replace Casey, and to merely bring in a live guitarist. It was in this period that the first release, Aleatory, was recorded at the Metal Mansion by Colin Attelsy of Will of the Ancients, over two hectic days.
With live guitarist Ross, the band played several shows, including opening slots with Macabre, Unmerciful, Rotting Christ, Nefastus Dies, and more. However, musical differences led to the dismissal of Ross in early 2008.
Currently, the band is breaking in their new permanent guitarist, Lee, formerly of Reich of the Dead. He has proven to be worthy of full member status, and the group warmly welcomes a new brother in their war party!
2008 will see the release of the Aleatory E.P., as well as the recording of the second release in the summer months. Many live rituals will be done, opening for well known acts, such as Anaal Nathrakh, Incantation, and Funerus. Be on watch: should your town be desecrated, and your monuments defiled, you will know Kronosfear has hit your home!!!!

Thanks a lot for the add! EletriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check EletriKa out!
