Heroes
My greatest hero is my grandfather...Ezra Swartz. And here is why he's my hero...
He fought in World War II. He was in the Navy and was part of the first group of guys to stay under water for 74 days straight. He endured a lot while under water. He was in charge of the engine and one night while him and a buddy were sitting in the engine room, he began nodding off. He was rudely awakened by something warm hitting his feet. He looked over to see that his friend beside him commit suicide. Those aren't the only reasons he's a hero of mine, another reason is that he battled alcoholism, raised four children, and was married to an italian woman who gave him hell throughout their entire marriage. A few years before his death, he suffered a massive stroke. He was on a fishing trip and he laid on the floor for 13 hours. Doctors say its a miracle he lived. I got to know my grandfather a little bit when I moved to Pennsylvania in 1999. He wasn't his usual self, as I understand, but he gave me many wise words of advice and was more than a hero to me for the short time I got to know him. I plan on writing his biography soon and letting the world know his heroism. After his death, my grandmother was awarded 4 plaques in his honor, his journals are getting published and he will be in history books someday.
I have many other heroes also. My brother, my good friends, etc. There are many people I look up to and enjoy being around...I consider all of them my heroes.
I also admire every fire fighter to walk the face of this earth...especially the ones who braved 9/11 and the ones that lost their lives during that tragic event.
Howard Zinn; a historian and peace activist, who cares so deeply for the people of his country and the people of the world...a man of much power and truth. I admire and respect him. I want to be like him someday...

I love life and my happiness when something goes wrong, I manage to confront the problem and I'll be happy again
I find solitude in living the simple life. I realize that things aren't about money and possessions. They are about reading a good book and acting childish. I find the efforts to make myself all I can be...by still being me. And as in me...I mean free
Who I'd like to meet: Who do I wanna meet? Hmm...I'd like to meet anyone with the same name as me and a bunch of other people, but do you think that I remember who right off the top of my head?
