Kruciation is a New York based Blackened Death Metal band that formed in early 2007. Vicarious the lead/rhythm guitarist of the band was the founder of Kruciation along with the original members Hellgrave, Chris Tirado, and Reaper. When this band first started out the original genre of the band was classified under Death Metal. But after 5 months of practicing the members of Kruciation decided on a split due to the difference in musical taste. So Chris Tirado (ex-drummer) and Hellgrave formed there own band and all that was left to Kruciation was Vicarious and Reaper.

Shortly after the split Astaroth had met Vicarious on a NYC subway train and had asked Vicarious to show up to one of his practice sessions since he saw him carrying a guitar, so Vicarious had agreed. Both Vicarious and Reaper had shown up to the practice session because Astaroth had also been looking for a bassist. After one jam session both Vicarious and Reaper had decided on Astaroth as the band's permanent drummer because of his style of drumming had fit the style that Vicarious and Reaper were searching for.

For a good 3 months the band would practice with only three members desperately looking for a vocalist and a guitarist that would fit the band's musical taste. Until one day Vicarious had remembered his old band mate Kannon Kage, who he had been in band with in late 2006. So Kannon Kage had been asked to audition for the band as the vocalist, but he did not come alone. Not only did he bring his raw and powerful vocals to the audition, but he had also brought along a guitarist of unbelievable magnitude, a guitarist with pure natural talent, a guitarist by the name of Ramanoth. So two auditions were being held at the same time, one for Kannon Kage and one for Ramanoth. And at the end of that session both Kannon Kage and Ramanoth would become part of Kruciation.

So after losing two members of the original lineup, Kruciation would reform and reinvent itself as a pure black metal band with the additions of Astaroth, Kannon Kage, and Ramanoth. However early September 2008 the band would lose Kannon Kage due to ongoing issues with Kage and would bring back the original singer Hellgrave. Now the onslaught is complete and Kruciation is born. The band is looking to leave its mark in metal history as one of the first Blackened Death Metal bands from New York City.
