Snowboard Alert)::..
The MLK Weekend trip to Colorado was a success. Everyone had fun, and all 20 of us made it home alive. Next month we'll be headed for Utah with a small group of friends. Nothing like lake effect snow over Presidents Day Weekend.
Our new snowboards were worth every cent spent. I gave Caroline a new pair of bindings for Christmas that completed her new board. Together we were ripping up the mountain, as best as a couple 40 year olds can and loving it!

Our New House)::..
We've both settled into the Phoenix Metro area and have decided to make Mesa our home. We absolutely love it here and have had a 110% change in our quality of life. There are many sublte differences from living in Califonia but the most notable is that there are a few million less people and freeway traffic is non-exist when compared to SoCal.
We've moved into our new home and have been making it our own for the past several weeks. Decorating is a lot harder than I imagined. I guess that's why I've always opted to NOT have art on the walls. Caroline has a very gifted eye when it comes to decorating and making the house a comfortable place to live.
Our pool and back yard are almost finished. another couple weeks if it doesn't rain it'll be done. Can't wait to invite our SoCal friends to AZ for a weekend pool party... We're looking forward to the spring!
The holidays are over for another year but we're all still left to battle the bitter economy this. I for one am thankful to still have my job...!

We're Officially Engaged)::..
Although Caroline are I are both marriage minded and have frequently talked about getting married, it's not official until there is a ring on the finger. On January 17th, while away on our snowboarding trip to Colorado, I expressed my love to Caroline by placing a beautiful ring on her finger and asking her to be my wife. Without hesitation she said yes...! Later that eveing, following a text message to awaiting guests, all of our best snowboard and ski friends poured into our condo with Champainge and smiles to congratulate and wish us both well in our future together.

More About Us)::..
We love all types of outdoors activities with snowboarding and mountain biking sitting somewhere at the top of the list. I'll normally sit the summer out just so I can expend all of my energy on the mountain sliding at mach 10 on my snowboard.
We have all new clothing and snowboarding equipment for next season. For this reason we have an obligation to make a couple trips during the season. Because of the added expense of our house, it won't be one of our average seasons where we are on the snow every weekend. More to follow on our winter schedule.
