Sounds Like
I conceived ‘memory and dust’ as a soundtrack to a story set in the mythic East. The title and track names are drawn from my readings of of the Zen poets, who pondered on impermanence in their wilderness retreats.
Each track represents a chapter in the story. Electronic washes are laid down like brushstrokes in an ink painting, creating soundscapes evoking mountains and valleys, deserts and streams. Crashing percussion shatters the air, infused with the traditions of North Africa, India and the Far East.
I enter the soundscapes, spinning intricate melodies which form a narrative thread through the album. I follow the progress of the solitary figure, his face a mask of resolve, his heart full of yearning.

’sometimes you hear a song and you find something completely original. this is a great mixture of ambient and acoustic. the guitar work is inspirational and relaxing. a nostalgic tune about loss and redemption. great great great track.’

Heck, I'll keep writing em if you keep listening. But do me a favour: you try to write even more than I do, and I'll be in your debt forever. Love this stuff. If you're a meditating person, you can always use new vibes to experience the world with. Yours are a perfect fit. But we'll always want more from our favourite artists, even the dead ones. So keep it going. Keep it misty. Stay frosty.
