Rock and roll, chocolate, cats, reading, walking, San Francisco, New York City, Hello Kitty, skulls, art, Asian studies (specifically Japanese studies), figuring out the role of God in the world, developing new talents, participating in discovery and acts of creation, learning, bathing, witnessing miracles and/or history.
Music
Warren Zevon is the finest songwriter of the last forty years. I also like David Byrne, Paul Simon, Kevin Quain, Kate Bush, Tom Waits, John Lennon, Queen, Joni Mitchell, The Zombies, any and all oldies, much classic rock that isn't overplayed on mainstream radio and Serge Gainsbourg (sui generis, that guy). I am slowly becoming a Richard Thompson fan. I also have an unfortunate soft spot for bad 70's AOR, and I happen to own every Bee Gees album ever recorded except a few collections and Life in a Tin Can.
Movies
I don't go very often. And I haven't seen a whole lot of them. Still, anything Hitchcock, Monty Python or Miyazaki will be excellent, and I love good comedies. Last really good movies watched: Yellow Submarine, Notorious, Woman in the Dunes, North by Northwest. Also recommended: The F W Murnau Foundation restoration of Metropolis.
Television
From Greek tele, meaning far, and Latin visio, meaning sight.
Books
All of them? Specifically, the Harry Potter series, Chuang-Tzu (by Chuang-Tzu; poor you if you've never read it), The Book of Tea (Okakura Kakuzo; currently rereading), The Importance of Understanding (Lin Yutang), The Woman Warrior (Maxine Hong Kingston), Eugene Onegin (Aleksandr Pushkin), but for the most part, I'll read anything. Current favorite authors: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jonathan Carroll, Haruki Murakami.
Current Reading: Just finished Jonathan Carroll's Sleeping in Flame, a takeoff of the Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale. Very good.
Heroes
My dad - famous stick figure artist, infamous witness for the prosecution against Jimmy Hoffa and Champion of the Hair Monsters.

About me: These days, I am a rock, I am an island. I can recite far too many facts and figures about 50's and 60's rock music, I pine for kitties and I bite my nails because that's what I do. None of these things endear me to others. But it's not all bad news: my personal hygiene's pretty good, I can occasionally sing on -key and I write a wicked parody. And I love good chocolate, which must count for something.
I'd like to meet a beautiful Siberian Forest Cat, about a year old, black, blue, red, mackerel, chocolate, tabby, tawny or brindle coat, who likes to cuddle, snort catnip and chase flies. All genders may apply. I never declaw.
But if you mean humans... living humans, presumably... Hmm... famous, too, I'll bet... Sophia Loren, Jim Carrey (who's looking particularly attractive of late; long haired guys over 40 rock), JK Rowling, Leonard Cohen, John Cleese (or any Python, actually), David Byrne, Mark Morford, Gary US Bonds, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tom Waits, Barry Gibb, Kinky Friedman, and you.
Normally I don't add videos or extraneous crap to my profile... but it's KQ! The other best thing about Toronto (aside from SOMA Chocolate), in your living room!

Seems you rearranged your myspace page as well as your apartment.
I need to give you a special thank you for getting Wyatt hooked on StrongBad. Ahh, the hours of stories we must now endure! I put on my football face and look interested and respond appropriately at the (I hope) right times.
I'm glad to hear you are selectively thinking about the next thing to write. Don't fritter your talents on useless word pairings as I do. Rococco Samovars!
oh KT I wish I still had your zeal for politics (I did for most of my life)...at this point though I can't help but to think that both major partys are a sham. I'm a registered Demoract but I vote very independently, this year I liked Ron Paul and also John Edwards...obviously neither will be running. I think instead I will vote for a third party candidate (like a Green or a Libertarian) to ensure more campaign funding in 2012. 2 years ago I did send $100 to Kinky Friedman in his independent bid for Governor of Texas as I feel we really need Independents in our system, Jesse Ventura would be another I would support. Anyway not to ramble but Mr.Carlin sums up my view of the current state of politics in the US very eloquently.
