Ktinodia is a band from Malta spewed forth with in December 2001. The aim of
this band has always been to produce something chaotic, brutal and bone
crushing, hence the name KTINODIA is a fitting definition to our philosophy..
After having spent several years as friends Steve and Clive decided to try and
form a band. Back then the band was intrested in producing brutal death metal
that was based on melodies rather than groovy breakdowns. Mark was asked to join
the band after showing an unrelenting interest in extreme metal and original
guitar playing, later Gerald also joined the band as the bassist. Later in 2002
Gerald started to appear less and less at rehearsals until he completely
vanished... putting Ktinodia in shit. Mid 2003, Mark introduces the band to his
cousin Karl and he eventually starts playing the bass for the band... In January
2004 Ktinodia debuted at Signals with awesome band Abysmal Torment. The night
was memorable to say the least. After a good response Ktinodia decided to record
a three track demo for the sake of dissemination. This demo was recorded at Wave
Studios and called 'Dying In Phases'..
After taking a three year period to reform its stylistic direction, Ktinodia is
finally ready to reintroduce itself better than ever.. Even though Ktinodia lost
Steve on drums we have still persisted in writing our own material within our
own interests. The final element to the band was found in the introduction of
another vocalist. Alan (ex-Psychosis) has aided the band into forming better
breakdowns, whilst still retaining original elements.. To say the least Ktinodia
has changed and evolved, so check them out now!!!!
