Update (7-3-07):
Still workin on the new album, I've gotten a handful of tracks that I'm sure I'll keep and a few others on the cusp. I put up an older track that I did with P Dot in March (The Return of Flow) as well as one that was on the back-burner for awhile that I finally recorded today (Roll With Me). Hope y'all are feelin it.
Update (10-16-06):
I've started work on a second album, the working title is "When the Smoke Clears." I won't be releasing all the tracks as they are completed like with DoaS06, however, various singles will be released as the album continues to develop. Once again, thanks for all the love and support. I really appreciate anyone who ever gave me the time of day. ~1~

Kudos began rapping at around 12 years old. At 13 he joined 2 other MCs, Young Kay and The One, and formed the group known as the K-U-T. The K-U-T made a mixtape in the spring/summer of 2002 that was never released and still remains heard by only a small group of close personal friends. That same summer Kudos moved for the second time in his young life from Pittsburgh to Dallas, effectively dissolving the group. After a brief lapse in musical dabblings his interest was rekindled when he learned that his former groupmates had joined another group, The Franchise Playaz. After the Franchise's debut album "Life's Not a Game" was released there was friction between The One and the leader of the group. This prompted Kudos and The One to rejoin forces in 2004 to release The K-U-T Mixtape, Vol. 2. Despite the poor audio quality, the mixtape was fairly well received by the few hundred or so listeners that it reached. Ultimately, when the original Franchise completely disbanded Young Kay rejoined his former groupmates and the K-U-T was reborn.
Around this time Kudos also began working with another transplant to Texas from PA. In 2005 an artist named Young Klimp moved to the Dallas-area from Philly, the two quickly struck up a friendship and began working on a mixtape together. The "From Real to Reel" mixtape gradually worked its way to completion and can be heard at this site. Now, as Kudos works on his debut solo project "The Diary of a Summer 2006" in addition to another K-U-T mixtape, some small side projects with Klimp and Paco (a New Orleans native) and preparing to enter college in the fall, he continues to flex his lyrical prowess and develop his unique style which combines hard hitting punchlines with uncanny lyricism, delivery and flow.
P.S. Songs on the album that are not in the current "Top 4" can be heard/downloaded here as well.
Anyways.... ~1~
