Kudzu Magazine's Blurbs |
About me:
Kudzu, the literary magazine of Hazard Community and Technical College, has been publishing work from around the country since 1993. Prior to acquiring the name Kudzu, the college’s literary magazine was titled YarnSpinner. We publish one issue in the spring and we accept submissions of poetry, fiction, essay, and artwork during our reading period from August to February of each year.
In the past we have published works by or about Gurney Norman, Frank X Walker, Kelly Ellis, G. C. Compton, Miriam Woolfolk, and Scott Russell Sanders. A short story written by Carrie Mullins in our 2005 issue was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and in that same year we published a Frank X Walker poem, which was later republished in Appalachian Heritage.
In every issue we strive to publish works by published writers as well as those who have never published.
We publish good writing.
