Kugilalensa first started in January 2008 when 7 friends decided to form a photography group. At first Kugilalensa was only about photo, art and poetry but later in February 2008; Adi (lead), Shidi (rythm), DD (bass) and Alip (drum) start picking up instrument as they would like to add a little bit of music in Kugilalensa because they share the same passion in photography as with music. They started with playing cover songs from our very indie bands; couple to the 80's favourite; the beatles. But later in February 2008, Adi wrote their first debut single; Pandangan Pertama, followed by Hello in March 2008 and Lagu rindu in april 2008. They realise that most of their songs is actually for a girl to sing, therefore during late February 2008 Hanin (Vox) joined and became the vocalist for Kugilalensa. Early August 2008, Kugiallensa made their first appearance at Stadium Merdeka for the Kuala Lumpur International Marching Band Competition 2008 playing alongside Skudap-Skudip, Funky Doryz, Bunkface and many more. Kugilalensa has also performed for Layar Tanchap Merdeka 2008 and RANtAi Art Event during Merdeka 2008. Sadly due to Hanin's hectic schedule, she had to leave the band but not Kugilalensa and since at that moment there were no vocalist, they decided to practice their playing and search for a new vocalist. Late october 2008, Shafnida joined Kugilalensa to fill in the vocalist spot. With this new line up they have played from a private party to the Music is Life event 2008 in Shah Alam. EP is planned to be released later this year.
