I basically like music, all kinds of music!
I play indie, hip hop, reggae, electro-clash, experimental, ambience, metal, folk, world, punk, electronica, and many other types!
I am a non-commercial station, so I dont play the same 5 songs every hour nor do I have commercials. I play a ecclectic mix of music that crosses all genres.
I also air progressive news programming every weekday from 6 to 8 pm. Shows like Democracy Now!, National Native News, This Way Out, Free Speech Radio News, Counterspin and Latino USA are just a few.

The mission of KUGS-FM is to serve the students of Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA by providing a diverse program of music and information consistent with student interests. You can be on the air! Volunteers at KUGS start out as news readers for one quarter with a half hour weekly commitment. As a news reader, we give you experience and on air DJ Training. It's that time of year again, festival season is approaching. So a couple very important things to share with all our friends, we moved the date of Meltdown this year a week later, August 14th-16th, 2009, Same awesome location, Darrington Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater! March Fourth Marching Band is returning to the Wild Buffalo this April and they're bringing another jubilant marching band with them! Described as a "hot and furious dance party," The Loyd Family Players combine samba, hip-hop, funk, heavy metal, dancehall & reggae in a 14 piece bateria.
