Kulturscio'k is a non profit ensamble founded in December 2007 by Alessia Siniscalchi and Ivana Messina with the intent to create a network, a link between artists from allover the world in order to create original works, readings, and multidisciplinary performances (dance, music, art).We are dedicated to promote collective works and to cooperate to research how the relation between human body and each one's personal or collective struggles can become artistic expression and creative necessity for the artist ;kulturscio'k has a multidisciplinary approach to the art practice and works on performances in cooperation with architects and installation artists in order to have an impact on the environment.Our performance besides closed doors was selected at teatri di vetro festival in 2008 and was dedicated to recreate an apartment of an ideal person in a specific neighborhoods order to explore social issues and social expression of the neighborhoods where the apt was located.Cultural actions for kulturscio'k members have a necessary social and cultural and political message to be elaborated through movement and text, using traditional or contemporary artistic means ------------------------------------------------Alessia Siniscalchi lives and works as an actress, curator and director between Naples, Rome ,Paris and New York.
In 2002 she won a scolarship and a grant to attend the Actors Studio Drama School in NY, where she was trained for 3 years as an actress.
In 2006 she worked with The Theater for the New City (TNC) in “Social Insecurity”, written and direct by Crystal Field and played Tituba in “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller, directed by Melissa Attebery.
In 2007 she directed "To be…Romeo and Juliet", performed in english by neapolitan young actors and sponsored by the Ente Teatro Cronaca di Napoli. The project will take place in 2008 as well.
As curator she won the “FestArte” competition and a grant with IMAIE to bring in Italy different american works, between them “Secret Confession Box/Inside-Out” by Laura Barnett (NYC) and Sandra Spannan (Berlin), a performance that took place in Times Square (NYC), at the D.U.M.B.O. Arts Festival in Brooklyn. She is also presenting "Shhhhh…this is My My My Voice….", a site specific performance created for open and public spaces, that enhances the relationship between people and the spaces they live in, and she is co-producing “Nueva Cancion” by Aurin Squire, about artists in Chile during 50's & 60's. The project is sponsored by Amnesty International and scheduled in December 2009, at the TNC (Theatre for the New City) in NYC.
Before attending the Actors Studio, Alessia worked in Italy and since then has been very active on social issues and sense of performing to change a social context.-------Ivana Messina starts acting at the High School with Manuela Monacci and is trained at the “Accademia dei Filodrammatici” in Milan first and in Naples then by Mamadou Dioume, during a permanent laboratory that the Senegalese actor held in Naples between 1999 and 2000. The laboratory signed also the collaboration between Ivana and Alessia, the experience will be significant for both of them, even if in different ways. Ivana’s experience will later go toward the dance training rather then the acting, a passion that Ivana had since she was a child and that allows her to express better the connection between her body and her innerself. Very important for her career were also the experiences with Irene Klinger, Rena Mirecka, Joan Woodbury and Barbara Altissimo. She played in different theater shows, between them: “Quai Ouest” by Mamadou Dioume, “Minotauro” by Claudio Conti and Alessandro Tessitore, “Per Sempre” by Barbara Altissimo and “Intreccio Mediterraneo” with Enrica Brizzi’s choreography.--------------------------------Francesca Chiacchio (www.myspace.com/francarame) is the web curator for Kulturscio'k------------Per info & events: kultursciok@gmail.com.-----------

LABORATORIO RESIDENZIALE ACT INCURSIONI URBANE Produzione 2009/2010 Spazio Liberato Ex Breda Est e Compagnia Ultimo Teatro con LUCA PRIVITERA Progetto Teatrale di Impegno Civile/Sociale/Etico. Aperto a tutti. Non è richiesta nessuna esperienza.
Questo è il lavoro che va fatto. Questo è il momento per rialzare la testa. Non basta più imparare alcune tecniche o metodiche teatrali per sbloccare “il se” e restituirlo agl'altri. Bisogna tornare in strada e dire qualcosa di necessario. Analizzare la polis, la società, la politica, l’economia , l’umanità e metterla in scena. Dobbiamo avere il coraggio di tenere gli occhi aperti. Il teatro deve rinascere come luogo della comunicazione pura. Non deve essere più intrattenimento o svago ma punto di riflessione, di crescita, di conoscenza, di profondità.
Questo sarà un tentativo di creazione collettiva, tutti saranno i protagonisti e gli autori. A tutti sarà chiesto di partecipare come attori, come drammaturghi, come registi. Tutti opereranno al fine di condividersi, nella propria totalità. Quest'ultima “la condivisione” sarà l’unica arma che potrà risollevare le sorti del nostro futuro. Vogliamo aprire le porte che amplificano la propria e l'altrui capacità espressiva, emotiva, intellettuale e renderle finalmente utili. 5 Sessioni di lavoro di 32 ore l’uno
ogni sessione vi realizza in sei giornate, l'ultimo giorno verrà messa in scena l'Incursione Urbana per le strade della città. I Luoghi e gli orari verrano aggiornati e pubblicati di volta in volta.
Lo
stage è finalizzato ad una ricerca teatrale che prenda spunto dall’Ubu Re di
Alfred Jarry. Il testo verrà considerato un punto di partenza dal quale,
attraverso il training e l’improvvisazione, lavorare su una performance. Non si
tratterà di lavorare su una messa in scena del testo, ma di usarlo come spinta
iniziale per poi distaccarsene; il testo sarà il motore creativo dal quale
cogliere tutte le suggestioni che formeranno poi il materiale finale. Ogni
partecipante potrà mettere in gioco la propria individualità (senza giudizi di
valore) a disposizione delle proprie potenzialità creative, divertendosi e
calandosi nell’esperienza del qui e ora del gioco teatrale.
CHOU é un evento che propone l’incontro tra due comunità, quella di Polverigi e quella dei partecipanti al progetto Inteatro-IFA ’09, 12 giovani artisti internazionali che hanno vissuto a Villa Nappi da maggio 2009. Una grande tavolata verrá allestita nella Piazza di Roccolo: tutti coloro che desiderano partecipare all’evento potranno condividere una serata in cui si alterneranno cibo e piccole storie, musica e danze, chiacchiere e azioni sceniche: uno scambio di esperienze, radici, e tradizioni.
