Kundalini are a British female fronted metal band, hailing from atmospheric and historical Herefordshire.
Formed in 2008 between founding members Sakara and Lex with the intension of creating original music. It started out as an experimental project with a melodic heavy/doom metal ensemble.
It soon became apparent that a potent song writing partnership was developing & after playing together for some months they decided it was time to look for other members to move the project forward. It was then they met talented lead guitarist Robin B.Czar. They began instantly working on material and a new and exciting sound was beginning to form and Kundalini was born. Every member brought talent and personality making a unique combination.
Kundalini are few in number with Sakara (Lead Vocals, Bass) writing her own melodies & lyrics. Sakara’s beautiful vocals are perfectly contrasted with Lex (Rhythm Guitars & Brutal growls) & Robin (Lead Guitars) who is a multi talented musician/songwriter playing all other instruments you hear on the tracks as well as the mixing of the final recordings.
The sound of Kundalini combines heavy & atmospheric guitars with an intense rhythm section & sensual, haunting melodies and beautiful stunning female vocals & occasional growls from Sakara. A potent mix of light and shade.

The band loves creating moods not just with voice and music but using visual stimuli to bring the audience into their world for the duration they are with them.
Kundalini draws inspiration from nature herself, life experience and strong emotions like love, anger & lust. The band often like to write songs that reflect the mysteries & otherworld realities known to the shaman and witch, creating atmospheres like those felt in strange, powerful places, magical & natural places of wonder steeped in history where many ancient stories began. These are the places that inspire kundalini.
Kundalini are inspired by many different influences from around the globe. They have many sides to their music keeping it fresh but yet it is still very assessable.
Kundalini is a constantly evolving project creating original music that crosses a lot of different boundaries therefore they are not endeavoring to be a clone of any other female fronted band they are unique in their production of music as well as live performances and presentation.
Kundalini show versitility of vocals, musical talent & ideas that are simple, primal yet powerful and seductive. Although it is still early days for the band, the members have been around in the music business for many years, Sakara most well known for her old band The Craft & she has produced some outstanding work.
Now back with a new project unable to keep them away from creating, their passion and love to strong. They joined with common interests and have begun a new journey with more outstanding work and the best is yet to come.
To this point they have been managed by founder member and singer Sakara building on her previous knowledge & experience. Kundalini promises to produce deliciously dark and spellbinding, sensual powerful music that speaks to the soul.
They have worked diligently on new material and after many delays they have now self released their first demos Requiem & Bleed. These are just a taste of what is to come. Presently in the middle of writing there forth coming album called Hedge Witch.
