Movies
OFFICE SPACE IS THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!! 2nd greatest may in fact be IDIOCRACY, oddly enough made by the same guy who did OFFICE SPACE, Mike Judge
I love documentaries, independent film, old classics, and anything that makes a social commentary directly or indirectly on societal/political issues. I'm a sucker for a good stupid comedy any time. An obsessive movie collector, I have almost 4,000 films in my personal collection.
A few faves... SAGAS - LOTR trilogy, Star Wars II - VI, Beverly Hills Cop trilogy, Naked Gun trilogy, Matrix trilogy, The Pink Panther series (but only the ones starring Peter Sellers), National Lampoon's Vacation series (though Vegas kinda sucked), Die Hard trilogy, Austin Powers trilogy, Alien(s) series.
DOCUMENTARIES - Bush's Brain, Weapons of Mass Deception, The Blank Generation, Dig!, Before the Music Dies, Bastards of the Party, Bukowski: Born into this, Condor: The first war on terror, The Corporation, Filth & the Fury, Midnight Movies, Star Wars Dreams, Dogtown & Z-Boys, Z-Channel: A Magnificent Obsession, The Target Shoots First, Uncovered: The whole truth behind the Iraq War, Fahrenheit 9/11, Camp Hollywood, This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Unconstitutional, C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America, The Big One, Live Forever, Run Granny Run, The Raid on Los Banos, The Devil and Daniel Johnston, Unprecedented: The 2000 Election, Tom Dowd: The Music Legend, Chasing Ghosts...
OTHERS - Memphis Belle, I Am Sam, Strangebrew, Empire of the Sun, Chuck and Buck, Grosse Pointe Blank, V For Vendetta, Amelie, American Splendor, Take the Money and Run, The Great Dictator, Kids in the Hall: Braincandy, Bang Bang You're Dead, The Baxter, Dr. Strangelove, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Stalag 17, The Sleeper, The Crow, Shaun of the Dead, Prozac Nation, Heavy Metal Parking Lot, Tommy Boy, The Pianist, Friday, Triplets of Bellville, Multiplicity, Flyboys, The Golden Child, Mom and Dad Save the World, The Mosquito Coast, Almost Famous, Galaxy Quest, Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Election, The Harder They Come, Factotum, Dolemite, Ed Wood, Clue, Pan's Labyrinth, This is Spinal Tap!, What Dreams May Come, Kelly's Heroes, The United States of Leland, The Doom Generation, Moscow on the Hudson, Garden State, The Frisco Kid, The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, Bubba Ho-tep, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Young Frankenstein, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Detroit Rock City, Glory, Eddie & the Cruisers, Fear of a Black Hat, Caddyshack, Airplane!, The Ten, Holes, The Blues Brothers, Trading Places, CB4, Last Night, Ark, In The Mood, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Ed Wood, Citizen Kane, The Shawshank Redemption, Persepolis, The Dark Knight, Overlord, August Rush, Gattaca, Morvern Callar, Blast From the Past, The Animatrix, Letters from Iwo Jima, Casablanca, The Jerk, SLC Punk, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Longest Day, Empire Records, Bowfinger, The Big Lebowski, Evil Dead II/Army of Darkness, Fear of a Black Hat, Johnny Dangerously, PCU, The Spirit of St. Louis, Dead Man on Campus, The Money Pit, Major League, Leaving Las Vegas, High Fidelity (I'm often compared to the characters in that film), Without Limits (filmed in Eugene!), National Lampoon's Animal House (also filmed in Eugene!!!)...
Many many many more could be named, like I said I own almost 4,000 films...But just like with my music list, I'm sure you're sufficiently bored by now.
Television
I watch WAY too much TV...So much so that I have two TVs set up next to each other so that I can watch multiple programs at once, which comes in very handy during football season.
I love documentaries, sports, and movies. Chances are my TV is almost always set to one of those.
Aside from that, the Daily Show and BBC World News are consistently on my DVR...and the Simpsons of course, since they're based on my hometown (Eugene, OR). Yes, I said it. THE SIMPSONS ARE FROM SPRINGFIELD OREGON
Books
With all of my time dedicated to film, music, and video games I don't find much time to read. But I enjoy audiobooks and occasionally pick up a few good books.
I like Michael Moore's books, Jimmy Buffett's books, "America: the book" by Jon Stewart, Malcolm Gladwell's "The Tipping Point" and "Blink," Donald S. Passman's "All You Need to Know About the Music Business," George Orwell's "1984" will change your outlook on life, "FUBAR: America's Right-Wing Nightmare" by Sam Seder, the occasional John Grisham novel, and any non-fiction book pertaining to history, aviation, music, or the University of Oregon.

I work in the LA music biz, and I'm always interested in speaking with individuals currently in, or looking to break in to the music business.

About me:
I'm from Eugene, OR...GO DUCKS!!! I'm a pilot, but work in the music biz to avoid real life.
I live in Los Angeles, where the breasts are fake and the assholes are real.
I majored mainly in apathy while in college.
I have no tattoos, no piercings, never smoked, never used drugs, never used chewing tobacco, never had braces, stopped drinking hard alcohol a couple years ago (though love beer!!!) and proudest of the fact that I have never once worn skin-tight leather pants. I all but gave up caffeine and carbonated drinks, excess sugar, and fast food. Trying to live a healthier life, but it's tough when the best tasting foods are the worst for me...Why, why must bacon make EVERYTHING better???
I attempt to play guitar but do so rather poorly, attend concerts whenever I can manage to get out, enjoy anything to do with aviation, play tennis, sail whenever I can get out on the water, and love all varieties of film (documentaries especially!).
I was a member of the original Nintendo Fun Club (and had the membership card to prove it!!!) BEFORE it changed to Nintendo Power in 1986.
The things I despise most in life:
-Ignorance and anger aimed towards people's religious/political/sexual/racial differences
-ALL "reality" tv
-mushrooms
-high winds (unless I'm sailing)
-raw tomatoes (but I love tomato sauce or sun-dried, go fig? .._(•_•)_/)
-dance clubs
-olives
-Time-Warner cable for taking away the NFL Network
-modern top-40 pop music (which I refer to simply as "free-lance karaoke")
-anyone who watches American Idol (I hate you, American Idol and ClearChannel are destroying the music biz!)
-strip clubs
-people who say 'woot'
-coaches who call pitch plays on short yardage
-coconut
-people who walk way too slow holding up the rest of the crowd (I want to punch you in the back of the head!)
-seafood
-people who talk about what they thought about a movie immediately after walking out of the theater, it's these people that make me sprint for the parking lot the second a film ends
-sportscasters and other media personalities who pluralize the individual followed by "Of the world..." in a very annoying way (example: "The Dan Marino's, the John Elway's, the Joe Montana's of the world..." I want to smack people every time they talk like this, THERE'S ONLY ONE OF EACH YOU JERKS!!!)
-the constant use and incorrect context associated with the word 'diva' (it's a BAD thing people, stop calling yourselves that!)
-LA traffic
-people who applaud at the end of movies in theaters
-endzone celebrations
-and dudes on Myspace with shirtless photos (seriously, ya think anybody gives a shit about your ripped abs??? Stop it jackasses!).
Who I'd like to meet: I've been fortunate to have met many wonderful and inspirational people in my life, and look forward to the next encounter with a random stranger or notable figure.
That said, there are many people throughout history that I would have loved to have met and picked their brain about life, and everything, and the number 42...Ted Hawkins, Curtis Mayfield, Teddy Roosevelt, Charles Lindbergh, Hunter S. Thompson, William Shakespeare, Johnny Cash,
But anybody who can hold their own in discussions of music, film, theater, history, global economy/politics, pop culture, sports, or travel...the enlightened ones, let's talk.
Terrance Kelly...Shot and killed in Richmond, CA, a day before he was to report to training camp for his freshman year in 2004, he was going to be a great one for the Ducks. TK is sorely missed by his teammates, family, friends, and Duck fans around the world. R.I.P. TK, you will never be forgotten.
And Todd Doxey, a sophomore safety at Oregon who tragically drowned during a rafting tubing trip he and teammates take every year on the McKenzie River. R.I.P. Todd Doxey.
