"Kurtis Parks is a fresh and distinctive new voice of worship emerging in the church today. His passion for God's presence is unmistakable and his ability to ignite that hunger in others is a gift thousands of churches are crying out for."
-Danny Chambers, Lead Pastor~Oasis Church Nashville
"Kurtis Parks is an incredibly talented singer songwriter. But what impresses me most is his passion for worship. It’s contagious. It took two seconds for Kurtis to connect with our congregation! He’s a blessing wherever he goes."
-Mark Batterson (Lead Pastor~National Community Church, Author of best sellers "In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day" and "Wild Goose Chase")
Kurtis Parks' mission is simple - "to write songs that awaken dead spirits, and bring hope to a broken generation."
Based in Music City, USA, Kurtis is currently recording his first full length worship album with four time Grammy nominee Daniel Weatherspoon, winner of 11 Stellar Awards. The album will feature some of Parks' most heartfelt worship songs that he's written since he started leading worship in churches, at age 14. After spending the last 3 years on the road with his band, The Season, Kurtis has emerged with a fresh sound all his own and is beginning to be known as a true voice of worship in today's ever-changing world.
While still in college, he honed his songwriting skills, writing albums for people by word of mouth to pay his way through school. He was a finalist in VH1's Song of the Year competition for his inspirational tune "Everything that You Are." Kurtis also gained national exposure through American Idol's fourth season, where he climbed to the top 50 finalists. After Idol, he joined forces with longtime friend and bandmate Josh Kim to form "the Season". The Season has been featured nationally on CNN, NBC, and the Fox Morning show, with Kurtis' song "Forever Changed." The song was written for the Virginia Tech families that were affected by tragedy of April 16, 2007. The song was one of the first ever to reach 1 on a top 40 radio format from an independent artist, and was the most requested song of the year on Roanoke, VA's popular K92 Radio.
Having written over 1200 songs in every genre since the age of 13, this young talent is a diamond in the rough among songwriters and is quickly becoming a fan favorite with Indie pop/rock listeners. His songs have won the "Track of the Week" and numerous "track of the day" awards on Garageband.com and his group The Season was nominated for Artist of the Month out of nearly 8,000 bands on Stereofame.com. The Season also reached 16 worldwide on Myspace.com's Unsigned Pop Artists. As a writer, Kurtis has penned songs with some amazing chart-topping lyricists, including Calvin Nowell, Keith Dudley, Scott Davis, and Aaron Rice.
Whether writing and recording in his home studio, out on the road, or leading worship in Nashville at Oasis Church (under Pastor Danny Chambers), it's obvious that music is as natural as breathing for Kurtis.
Kurtis also has a project called Custom Songs, where he can write a song for a special occasion for any individual. He's written songs for people's weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and he can write one for you too! Just send him a message, or email kurt@kurtisparks.com to find out more!

Harmonizing heart and brain through love is what can establish a complete intelligence, a complete self, where a child can look at life and realize there are no dead ends, there are always possibilities. The greatest gift a parent can give a child during all the ups and downs of life is love. Love Vicki~
