We've recorded a live session for the Bethan Elfyn show on BBC Radio1. Barbie Hips has been featured on Huw Stephens' In New Music We Trust show and 6Music's Tom Robinson show. Control Control has been played by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 1 and 6Music.
Bands we've played with include Babyshambles, The Airborne Toxic Event, Victorian English Gentlemens Club, Apes, French Toast and Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster.
Here's what some people say:
"Kutosis' debut single gobs in our faces with angular snorting punk-pop" ****/5 Buzz magazine review of Vultures
"I think I might get the train to Cardiff ... Genius" 6Music's Tom Robinson on Barbie Hips
"Kutosis hit the stage with their rather great set opener You Told Me Devro Decides. It kicks off without instruments, just the band members shouting the intro in a Futureheads-esque harmony kind of way. These boys have tunes, especially the cracking set closer Blinking Psychos. With Adam Walton, Bethan Elfyn and Huw Stephens already fans of the band, 2009 is set to be their year." thejoycollective.co.uk
"You Told Me Devro Decides is the sound of the kids off the street smashing the right windows, reclaiming indie for the humble and excited, musically concise, rebellious, and more exciting than any bitter social commentary could ever be. It has the precocious bubblegum indie shimmer and death-rattle of Screaming Tea Party, and a dissident cool where the otherly meets earth and indie sparks fly" miwsig.com
“Edgy, frenetic, angular and as hyper as a class of kids in a Haribo factory, this EP has me leaping up and down like the aforementioned yo-yo, not giving me room to breathe. Think Gang of Four taking aim at McCarthy with The Three John's rifle" REPEAT fanzine review of Yoyoyoyoyoyoyo
"God I just love this. Frantic, energetic brash guitars stab and slice and probe, almost masking the impassioned vocals that could be raging about media mind control, fascist government control or the TV remote control" REPEAT fanzine review of Control Control
"Angular and angry from the get-go ... killer hooks and a confrontational attitude" Planet Sound
"Best opening lines in the business" Radio 1's Bethan Elfyn
