KCP is a chamoru dance group based in Long Beach, California. The group is comprised of 50-60 volunteer dancers from the age of 4 to 40+. The group began in 1993 and has performed all over the world from Washington D.C. to Sinaloa to Guam. One of the amazing things about KCP is that since it's inception, the group has not charged for lessons. If you are interested in learning about dances from Guam, Saipan, Rota, Tinian, and the Marianas Islands feel free to contact Heidi at 562-972-0969 or email hqguamdiva@yahoo.com
Practices are held on Sundays between 3-6pm!!

Hi Joey, I heard that you will be in Berkeley...from my almost 80 year old aunt. She really wants to go so if you could send over the details ASAP, I would so appreciate it!
Hi Joey and Heidi! Thank you for coming out to Sacramento! My family and I enjoyed the play. Loved that my husband, who's Mexican, could see a glimpse of my HOME...but most of all thanks for bringing my babies (even for only a couple hours) to us!
I'm all for the person's comment below...come to the BAY AREA...even Vallejo, Vacaville, someshere near and I'm sure you'll have many people...I already told my friends who were upset that I didn't tell them sooner!
The play was great! Thanks for coming up north. If you could next time, you think KCP might be able to do a performance somewhere near San Jose? I'm not sure if you have it on your schedule, but I think it would be more accessible to other Chamorros in the SF and South Bay regions.

Heidi, you and the Kutturan Chamoru Performers did an excellent job here in Tacoma, Washington tonite! I am so proud of you and my Quenga relatives (I spoke with your father-in-law and he also spoke with my mother and we are related)! Anytime you guys come to Washington to perform again, we have space not too far from Auntie Lucy's.

Well, sorry I'm not there in WA to see your performance...Unfortunately, tragic events in my life have called me back home to Guam...However, I did call my family back in WA to let them know about you guys and to come out to support you guys. Continue to keep all of us posted so we can spread the word of future performances and continue to promote and perpetuate our unique and beautiful culture...Biba Chamoru!!!
