First of all, my latest hobby has been making tutorial videos to put on Youtube. What do I make tutorial videos of?? Putting on make-up, of course!! Anyhoo, if you wanna check out my videos, go to youtube and search for kuuipo1207 or click here. If you have a youtube account, feel free to rate my videos, leave me comments and/or subscribe to my channel!
Other than making the videos, I enjoy spending time with my friends (kinda hard now since I live 10 hours from them, 7 1/2 hours if I'm driving), trying new stuff with my make-up (whether it's on me or on someone else), singing, pondering the mysteries of life, makeup, ondering about happiness and fulfilling dreams, and whether I'm on the right path for my life..and makeup. I don't really do much of anything else....just take care of my husband, hang out with friends, sing, and move wherever the Army places my husband (whether I like it or not). If it keeps my attention, chances are I like it. When I have nothing else to do or when TV bores me, I become a computer gaming nerd and play Neverwinter Nights.
Music
Country, Pop, R&B, some Rap, some Alternative, Oldies, Swing, Big Band, Hip-hop, Classical, not to mention Polynesian music too. With an iTunes library of over 8,000 songs I'd like to think I'm pretty eclectic, but then again, I could be wrong.
Movies
LOTR, The Notebook, Dirty Dancing, Men of Honor, Harry Potter (OMG the 5th one was so freaking good!), Transformers, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, anything animated Disney, Batman Begins, X-Men, French Kiss, Mean Girls (mainly cause I've been told that I am one...I take that as a compliment), Elf, Practical Magic, Braveheart, The Green Mile, Romeo & Juliet, Dances With Wolves, V for Vendetta, The Sound of Music, The Princess Bride, King Arthur, How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days, 10 Things I Hate About You, Chicago, White Christmas, Pretty Woman, The Italian Job, Shrek.....to name a few.
Television
Ugly Betty, Brothers &; Sisters, Grey's Anatomy, Friends, Will &; Grace, CSI, CSI:Miami, CSI:NY, I Love Lucy, The King of Queens, Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Mythbusters, LA Ink, Miami Ink, That 70's Show, The Fabulous Life of (name a person), South Park, CHapelle's Show, Who's Line Is It Anyway, American Chopper, Two and A Half Men, The Real Hustle...despite the length of this list, I don't watch TV all that often.
Books
The Da Vinci Code, The Joy Luck Club, Beloved, The Lord of The Rings, The Silmarillion, anything about the world's religions (especially if it doesn't have to do with Christianity), Face Forward, Making Faces, Plastic Surgery without the Surgery, Linda Goodman's Sun Signs...
Heroes
Anyone who goes against all the odds, against society, against the norm, to live their dreams.
The Makeup World of Francine almost unpacked! Only decorating stuff and my makeup left! Woohoo! Although unpacking my makeup can be a chore in itself. Haha!! view more
I'm a Southern California native that's been misplaced in North Carolina via Hawaii and Tennesse. Confused? Me too.
I was born and raised in California. After graduating HS in 2000, I moved to Hawaii to attend school at BYUH. I intended on majoring in music performance, emphasis in flute. Well, those plans kinda changed when they got rid of the instrumental music performance program and decided to only offer Vocal Performance, or Music Education. Not knowing if I had what it would take to be a vocal major (despite the fact that I was in the Womens Chorus and had already been given two solos over the course of two semesters), and not really having the desire to teach, I signed up for the Music Education track anyways. Dumb decision, yeah I know. Well, one thing led to another and rather than focusing on playing the flute, I was having more fun being involved in the womens' choir. I decided to audition for the Concert Choir when an alto position came open, but didn't get it because the director felt that I had a voice better suited for Soprano---which there were no openings for (sob). So I talked with him about changing my major to Vocal Performance, when all of a sudden I married my husband, who was in the Army. After getting married I decided that college wasn't really for me at that time (which shows when you look at my GPA), and put the whole education track on hold.
About a year later (2004), my husband received orders to report to Fort Campbell, KY, aka Kentuckessee (Fort Campbell lies on the state border of Tennessee and Kentucky). It was during this time that I began to play with my makeup more. Granted, I always played with my makeup, but I started to branch out beyond the ordinary "neutrals and browns." Next thing I know, my friends were asking me to do their makeup for them before going out, and I had their family members asking me to do their prom/cotillion makeup for them.
Anyhoo, after two years of making friends and adopting families, John received orders (yet again) to report to Fort Bragg, NC, which is where we are now. Do I like it? Still not sure yet. We've been here since January and I will say that I could really do without the humidity, but it's not like I have any control over that, so why complain? All I know is that I want to become a makeup artist (and I don't mean just a photography/fashion mua...not that there's anything wrong with that...I'd love to have half the talent that fashion/photography mua's have in their little pinky toe compared to my "talent"!), but I want to be an mua that does everything-from prosthetics, to stage makeup, to sculptures, to fantasy, to anything! The sky's the limit!
I'm hoping to be going to school within the coming month to get certification as a Medical Transcriptionist. Yeah, I know way off topic from makeup, but a girl needs to have something to fall back on. Besides, if all goes well, I'll be able to work from home as a transcriptionist while going to school to be a makeup artist....hey, a girl's gotta pay the bills somehow, and I'm not standing on the corner...

And Christina Aguilera...omg I'd shit my pants if I ever got the chance to meet her!
