Kuwalda is a Russian band from a small town of Spas-Klepiki in Ryazan Oblast. The name can be translated as "Sledge Hammer".
It is known for its brutal lyrics which in fact are parodies of typical metal band lyrics. The main characters of their songs are usually maniacs, mental patients and crazy drunk drivers. The band first received attention after some of their DIY videos were aired on MTV-Russia in a some programs. Even though those videos were made fun of it helped the band to get nationwide promotion.
