XFM Review
I'm not totally at home with Rock (that has no extreme soppy/angry emo leanings), but have heard enough to know that this is it done very, very well. Deep, powerful voice, BIG music and just the feeling that something very professional is happening -I don't mean in a clinical way, just in that way that, when you find out they're unsigned, it's a bit of a shock. I'd be very surprised if they didn't massively pull it off live.
Check out my next gig with Dividing The Line on 16th April at The Underworld, Camden. Repost the flyer in the blog and you might win a Dead Metal t-shirt!
This weekend at the Bird's Nest in Deptford. Lots of rock, lots of it.
Friday, September 14th, Fruit Machine Blues wrap up two years of fun times with their final performance of swing influenced comedy surf rock. Joining FMB is the power blues duo from Exeter's sunny plains, Le Chat Noir, on their first London tour.
Saturday, September 15th, Ten Foot Nun swings up north from Croydon, and brings with them their edgy love/hate rock music. South London's 11:59 will be providing the back up with their angsty indie punk with multiple passports.
On Monday September 17th, Nathan Persad hosts his weekly acoustic open mic.
Fruit Machine Blues are saying goodbye, what with Karma being all busy and stuff, and Nathan being all busy and stuff, there isn't enough hours in the day to keep pumping out our two piece rock joy combo, so sadly, that's it, or is it?
Along with FMB is the electricfying duo from Exeter, Le Chat Noir, awesome!
