About KW Improvisers Collective

The KW Improvisers Collective is a new organization that is working to promote improvising musicians, and the improvised music scene in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

We welcome musicians of all backgrounds, experience levels, and instruments.

KWIC was founded in 2006 by Kathryn Ladano and Ted Harms.

We meet every other Wednesday night at 7:00pm in room 1101 of Conrad Grebel Univ. College at the Univ. of Waterloo. Our remaining summer get-togethers are scheduled for July 8 & 22 and Aug 5 & 19; these dates are subject to change with little notice so always best to email and see if things are happening.

Frank who first recieved guitar lessons from an uncle when he was a boy has developed an amazing ability to pick notes out of the air to match his dazzling blues consciousness rambling lyrics that are filled with startlingly beautiful imagery touching upon the thoughts and suffering we all must endure as we pass through this oft difficult existence. improvisation words and music...i would love to hear what you think of a seemingl mainstream vehicle for poetry/ and i would, love to do some collaboration here in London if anyone is interested in moving forward.? regards frank savage.

This competition for chamber works will be open to composers of all nationalities.
