About me:
I have been blessed with a wonderful family and a good life. My husband George is a former truck driver, 28 years of over-the-road hauling before he was seriously injured on the job last year. He suffered severe nerve damage to his back and legs and will most likely never walk without a cane or walker again. He also suffered some fairly serious brain damage that he's having to learn how to work around. It's been hard but he hangs in there and refuses to give up and he's been blessed with some wonderful doctors and therapists.
Our son is a sophomore at Meade County High School, he's playing football, # 70, go Greenwaves!!!!! He's OL/DL as well as special teams & now that he's shot up to 6ft4, 229lb they have him practicing tackle as well. Jeremy is one of those good kids that make you wonder what you did to deserve such a gift. Always has a good attitude, usually on the honor roll at school and is just a pleasure to be around.
Our daughter Cathy is in college, working on her RN degree and doing very well. After a couple of rough years we are really proud of the person she's become. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Mackenzie Elizabeth, on November 7th.
The rest of the family includes our 3 horses (Snowman, Shea and Summer) and 5 miniature dachshunds (WD, Bonnie, Piglet, Pepper & Bitters) and our labradoodle Ellie; all of whom are pretty much spoiled rotten LOL.
I spend my time being the family driver- taking George to all his appointments (usually 3-5 a week), working on the Booster Club & hauling kids to and from football practice (counting down the days til Jeremy gets his license lol), working around our mini-farm & taking care of the 4 leggers...
