The Quiet Music Festival (Cork, June 29th to July 6th) will launch new Contemporary Music group the Quiet Music Ensemble. Events include the 18th Annual Deep Listening Retreat facilitated by Pauline Oliveros, Ione and Heloise Gold. Evening concerts at Triskel on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Sssh!—a day of performances at the Glucksman Gallery on July 5th featuring improvisation, film, dance, new music by composers including Alvin Lucier and David Toop, and a solo concert by Pauline Oliveros. wow, man...i was expecting like rock band Criket style. I must say I am awesomely impressed with the tunes. If you are still in NYC I am spending the summer in Allentown PA, making costumes for the Penn Shakespeare festival. Hoping to make it to the city in a few weeks. Maybe I'll see you there.
