Kyle Lowder, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, moved with his family to the east coast when he was three years old. Growing up thirty miles from New York City in Westchester County gave Kyle the opportunity to be affected by the performing arts at a very young age. The oldest of three boys, he was born into an athletic family, to which Kyle credits his work ethic, focus, and determination. He was involved in athletics from the beginning of his life, and would eventually letter in two varsity sports during his four years of high school.
At 14 years of age, a freshman at Pleasantville High School, Kyle began studying music theory and voice performance with Dr. Renato Mario Vellutino, of Italian opera fame. Over the next four years, Kyle gave recitals and concerts, and competed in classical voice competitions throughout the state singing everything from Mozart and Verdi, to Handel’s Messiah. He also lent his talents to numerous musical and opera productions as well. In addition to his love of pop and rock, he was influenced by the music of Andrea Bocelli and The Three Tenors, artists that still deeply inspire Kyle today. In his senior year of high school, Kyle was accepted into the prestigious All-State Choir, consisting of the top 280 rated singers in the state of New York. He received a perfect rating of 100. All this while still keeping his commitment to his athletic teams, achieving All-State Track and Field Honors, as well as All-Section Football Honors starting at quarterback for the team. Nevertheless, it was clear that Kyle’s passion for music and the performing arts would eventually shift his focus away from the sports arena.
He continued his studies in college as a B.F.A in the performing arts program at Syracuse University, undergoing an intense vocal training regimen. In early 2000, during his sophomore year, however, destiny would call when an invitation to a talent showcase in Los Angeles would eventually relocate him to the west coast. A short time after his arrival, during the summer of 2000, Kyle was cast as Brady Black on the NBC Daytime Drama series, Days of our Lives, a role that would later bring him a Daytime Emmy nomination and Soap Opera Digest Award win in 2003. With the popularity that ensued, Kyle performed the National Anthem for Major League Baseball and NBA games at venues including Dodger Stadium and Staples Center. Although a busy schedule prevented Kyle from fully pursuing any endeavors outside the show, he continued with his vocal training on a weekly basis. In the summer of 2005, Kyle decided to end his fulfilling run on Days of our Lives and put a hold on his acting career in order focus fully on a career in music. After more than a year away from the spotlight, and his music career up and running, Kyle was ready to make a return to television. Kyle Lowder can be currently seen starring as Rick Forrester on the CBS Daytime Drama, The Bold and the Beautiful. www.boldandbeautiful.com
MAKE EVERYDAY COUNT! Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people who you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, even if it doesn't seem right because you are too young or too far, just follow your heart. Surround yourself with those who make you smile, laugh, and make you happy. Break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create your own life then LET GO and LIVE IT!
