Sounds Like What they're saying about the record:

"...its perfect..its beautiful and rich and full of heartfelt tales ~ if you like music that comes from deep within a man's soul..that place so few ever have access to..pick up a copy of this self titled Full length album."
--Tara Endicott - Cultural Arts Director - Burlap and Bean - Newtown Square, PA

"I listen to cds from artist all the time for my venue and at times it can become a strain. Every so often I'll here one that makes the search for talent a pleasure. This self titled cd kyle Swartzwelder is a polished gem of music, lyrics and vocals. When I listen to his material I know I'm listening to a headliner."
--Lee Zagorski - Owner - The Flash - Kennett Square, PA

"The self-titled CD by Kyle Swartzwelder provides an immensely enjoyable listening journey. His expressive vocals complement his honest and contemplative lyrics perfectly.... It is a simply delightful CD with a timeless quality that I will turn to again and again."
--Mike Riddle - Director - Dim the Lights Coffee House - Aston, PA

   About Kyle Swartzwelder

Kyle%20Swartzwelder
Quantcast

Kyle Swartzwelder has been a fixture on the Delaware folk-rock scene for five years. Like most of us, his taste for music came at an early age, listening to too much of The Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel and discovering a 1968 Ovation Balladeer in his father's closet. He got his start backing up friends on guitar and after being encouraged to take center stage to claim some of the spotlight for himself, he soon found his voice as a performer. Any initial stage fright he felt quickly dissolved, as he's gone on to play over 150 live shows in numerous clubs, coffeehouses and open mics throughout the Delaware Valley.

2008 was clearly the busiest year of Kyle's short career. In addition to hosting a popular Thursday night open mic at Burlap & Bean in Newtown Square, PA, Kyle has just released his self-titled debut album. The record features eight songs; with Kyle being backed by some of the best players from the Philadelphia area. As a reward for his hard musical work, Kyle was named the Best Male Solo Artist of 2008 by 93.7 WSTW. In addition to that award, Kyle’s new record was nominated as the year’s best album. Prior to 2008, Kyle was nominated two years running as best male songwriter in Delaware by both 93.7 WSTW and Out-and-About.

Recommend if you like - Ryan Adams, Iron and Wine, Pete Yorn, Josh Ritter, Lyle Lovett, early Jackson Browne, early Neil Young.

hey kyle
i'm calling in a musician favor here!
just shooting comments out to people to see if they voted for me on that austin city limits contest site i've been sending out.  it only takes a couple minutes to register and to vote once a day.  i'm trying as hard as i can with what's available to me to get new fans to stick with me and help me out.  help out an underdog.  if you've voted already, thanks so much and keep voting ever day!  and if you have a facebook, please talk it up on there.
thanks

Hey Kyle,

How was the Mocha Maya's show? I'm headed there this weekend. I played the Burlap on Saturday with Amy Correia -- real fun.  No A/C though - things were tropical.  Tracks from the record sound amazing.  I wanted to drop on by and say hello.
