About me:
♥ first of all...
I haven't updated most of this page since high school. i don't use it, though, so if you want to keep in touch find me on facebook. if you try to stay in touch with me here and i don't get back to you, you've been warned! hah
♥ my name
technically it’s kyra, but there are an endless number of things i’ll answer to. among them are kiki, cherry, biscotti, pinkie, princess of power, shakira, kyra vampyra, and boobs. ah variety, the spice of life.
♥ my schools
i'm currently attending the college of new jersey to major in psychology. i started as a double major in that and early childhood ed, which meant heaps upon heaps of neverending coursework and a totally packed schedule with no room for electives. how exciting. so i dropped the ed major and am going with straight psychology now. grad school in a year! wish me luck!
♥ my sports
i’m completely obsessed with ice hockey. i was varsity team manager for two years in high school and i’ve loved the sport ever since. go devils! another sport i’m into is baseball. die-hard yankee fans read no further - i’m a sox fan and if you don’t like that, you’re obviously too lame to be my friend. just kidding! maybe. while i’m on the topic of sports, i can’t leave out badminton. i’m always up for a game but i’m warning you right now: whoever plays me is going down! hmm, let’s see. . . i took dance lessons for something like 14 years and was on my high school dance team. i was also a cheerleader freshman year - i still have no idea what possessed me to do that. i currently take yoga and pilates. the gym is my second home.
♥ my interests
i have an unhealthy obsession with lingerie. corsets, fishnets, garter belts, bustiers, backseam thigh highs - you name it, i’ve got it. i could honestly live at victoria’s secret or frederick’s of hollywood. when i’m not out shopping at one of those two stores, i’m either watching movies, listening to music, reminding people of dolls they once owned, starting political debates, dancing, working out, crafting for phi sig, writing, sleeptalking, working, obsessing over shoes, going out with friends, being compared to jessica rabbit, finishing the ny times sunday crossword, running up my cell phone bill unnecessarily, getting distracted by shiny things, being mistaken for some chick on a soap opera (yes, more than once), procrastinating, spending time at the jersey shore, swimming, quoting eddie izzard, or a multitude of other things that can change at the drop of a hat. i like to be busy!
♥ my jobs
i've moved on from lifeguarding and camp counselor-ing (that is absolutely a word! i don't care what anyone says haha). i worked as a waitress at thatcher mcghee's over the summer and i currently teach dance, drama, and college prep at a middle school in trenton. i've also landed a job as a promotional and glamour model for sharp models, but unfortunately none of the jobs i've been offered lately have worked with my schedule. sucks. hopefully by the summer i can take on some more of that stuff!
♥ my quirks
i eat skittles two by two in rainbow order. if there are any odd ones that can’t be paired off, i throw them out or get someone else to eat them. my toes are always always ALWAYS pointed. i guess that’s my inner ballerina trying to emerge. i crack my knuckles, but lately my body has decided to move onto bigger and better things. everything’s been cracking now - my back, my knees, my wrists, my shoulders, my hips. . . yoga with kyra is always noisy! i feel completely naked without my cell phone. i insert random spanish phrases into everyday conversation. my eyes sometimes decide to look purple in photos. i have an unnatural love of the color pink. i eat oranges like it’s my job. i mumble things in my sleep that don’t make sense but are amusing nonetheless. and apparently, i have a habit of babbling endlessly while trying to describe myself. the result? a ridiculously long, ridiculously spazzy profile.
♥ my friends
i have the most unbelievably incredible friends ever! all of them are tons of fun to be around, yet they’re all unique. certain friends are great for going out and having a blast, while others offer a shoulder to cry on when i need support. i would do just about anything for them in return for the friendship they’ve given me.
