Due to sudden illness Kyrbgrinder will not be able to embark on the European tour as scheduled. The band regrets to disappoint the fans and is thankful for their understanding.

Never having ventured into a University audience the reaction was surprisingly encouraging -always having thought of ‘Uni crowds’ as being more indi biased. But Kyrb Grinder seriously rocked the place out with fans storming the stage! The musicianship of this band has to be experienced – catch them now whilst you can on the smaller stages ‘cos they are going places!!!! ..>

Johanne James - is no new comer to the rock
scene, having been involved in several high profile bands over the
years, the most recent being ‘Threshold’ who have released 14
albums and have recently changed labels from Inside Out to
Nuclear Blast. Johanne was voted best drummer of2004/ 2005, 2006/7 and 2007/8 by The Classic Rock Society and as such has earned
his place as one of the best drummers in the UK if not the world.
Dave Dart - Joined Kyrbgrinder as guitarist
beginning of June 2006. He has been an avid Kyrbgrinder fan
ever since he heard the band at a UKUNSIGNED Rock event in
2004 where he then took the opportunity to come and see them
perform where possible with his dad who is also an avid fan of
heavy rock and Kyrbgrinder! Slowly but surely he became a good
friend and when the opportunity came to join Kyrbgrinder there
was no hesitation and the rest is pretty much history-you will
know why he was asked to join Kyrbgrinder - the playing speaks
for itself! Whilst respecting the musicality of the band he has most
definitely brought his own flavour and creativity to it.
Eddie Vendetta – Brought up in Rome, Italy
He was introduced to classical music at the age of four. At the age
of 15 he discovered drugs, sex and rock & roll and bass guitar
and has never looked back! He has played with many bands with
different genres from funky, rock, thrash and the harder
side of metal. He was playing and touring around the world
(US, Europe, Australasia) and recently moved from Australia.
He moved to London in December 2006
where he perused Kyrbgrinder!

Thresholds' 'Dead Reckoning' still holds the number one position in my list of favourites of this year. Drummer of Threshold is Johanne James and next to that job he also is active in his own band Kyrbgrinder. Going by the name you may expect something in the line of hard core but that's far from reality.
Threshold could find this album very well attractive I guess. 'Defiance' was recorded in a different line up than they are performing in and they will continue like that too. Kyrbgrinder does it without keyboards and that leaves a firm sound that grooves and rocks fierce fully. Focal point is James who plays drums ·nd sings, both in a wonderful and great manner. His energetic drum style is varied and precise and vocally he resembles Living Colour's Corey Glover. The bands sound also goes into that direction and then the more heavy songs. In 'The Greatest Weapon' singer Melodie Gonnard makes a beautiful appearance, adding a nice variation. I really hope that Kyrbgrinder will be able to stay in the picture now that Threshold will go full throttle for the next year. I can see a concert tour or festival with both bands on the bill.
