Heroes
JESUS CHRIST who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us
The servicemen to make such a huge personal sacrifice to preserve our freedom and help those in other nations to obtain theirs. I salute you all!! THANK YOU!!!
I'm new to My Space. I joined because I wanted to meet and chat with other authors who used Outskirts Press Publishing.
I'm in my 50s and work full time as a secretary at a law firm. I live in Parma, Ohio with my wonderful husband, Gerard, who takes care of all the cleaning and the yard. I get to do all the banking and take care of my two cats, Moe and Spunky Doodle. We attend Parma Heights Baptist Church where we serve on the puppet team together and where I teach a Sunday School class of 5th grade boys.
After my dad died, I learned how to sell on ebay so I could sell some of his stuff to people who could use it instead of just throwing it all out. My seller name is kzemek. Check out my items sometime.
I never expected to write a book, but when my father died in February of 2007, I thought it would be a great way to share my dad with others and keep his memory alive. I also thought it could be an encouragement to others who are caring for aging parents as well as giving some tips on being a good, caring person. I enjoyed writing this book very much because it helped me work through my grief. The book is short and a very quick, emotional read that will make readers smile, chuckle, laugh and cry.

In the end I include an epilogue that tells how God helped me through the really tough days after my dad's death when I just felt so overwhelmed with everything that needed to be taken care of. Also included at the very end of the book are several appendices which list names of people mentioned, all his cats because there were a lot to keep straight, list of places mentioned and one that gives some spiritual help for those seeking a personal relationship with God. This part can be easily skipped if it is of no interest to you; however, I felt compelled to include it for those who may find it helpful.
I enjoy: playing tennis; bowling; going to the Cleveland Metropark Zoo often (all year round); listening to Sirius radio; watching sports on TV together; walking through the woods in the metropark nearby; reading on our porch;
cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Boston Red Sox, Boston Patriots, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins and Cleveland Cavaliers;
watching March Madness and filling out our brackets; playing games on pogo.com. and petting my cats.

Oprah Winfrey because I admire her as a person who is both kind and interesting. She started out poor and became rich and famous.
Some day, I'd like to visit the child I sponsor through Children International in Chile.
I'd like to meet the staff at Covenant House in New York and Boys and Girls town because both organizations meet needs of homeless kids that my heart goes out to.
I'd love to visit the AWANA clubs that I sponsor in Ecuador and the Philippines one day.
Some day I'd like to go with my husband to Boston to see the Red Sox play at Fenway park because he's such a big fan and that is one of his biggest wishes.
Unfortunately, I am a home-body and do not travel. I live in Ohio and the farthest I've ever been was Niagra Falls, but that was when I was a kid and my dad drove. I'd like to see other places, but I hate the thought of having to travel to get there.
