As folks know, we are in the process of building a new, non-comm radio station that will be dedicated to supporting local music.
As a non-commercial station, we are going to need a lot of community support to realize this long-awaited, much-needed station. We need to purchase a transmitter and build a studio in coming months since we intend to go on the air in November. The price tag for such a thing is a hefty one - about $ 180,000 clams, folks. So we are reaching out to you for help.

MetroEast Community Media, in collaboration with a coalition of community groups, received word on May 6th that its application for a non-commercial educational (NCE) radio station has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission.
With its transmitter located on Mt. Hood,the signal of the new station - 91.1 on the FM dial - will reach most of the East Metro area as well as much of Portland east of the Willamette.
