Writing, reading, interacting with animals (yeah, okay, I know that sounds weird, but there ain't nothin' that buoys the spirits like hanging out with a dog or carrying on a conversation with chickens), gardening, junking, having heart-to-hearts with my friends, exploring human nature, and filling my face with edibles and potables that make me smile.
Music
Ooo, this one is easy. Can't get enough of that FUNKY stuff. (Know what ToP stands for? Or P-Funk? Then you know what I mean.) But wait, there's more! I just haven't figured out how to describe it yet. Maybe "from classical to classic blues and rock." Something like that, anyway.
Movies
Way too many to list, but I do love substantive, thought-provoking drama (I found Brokeback Mountain so emotionally invasive, I couldn't shake its effect on me for days. But, damn, how I treasure that sharp-edged jewel!) I also like spooky, non-slasher horror (like the original The Haunting and The Ring).
Television
MSNBC as well as various shows that pop up on Discovery, Discovery Times, History, A&E, and Bravo. I will also be eternally devoted to "Frasier", "Twilight Zone", "Night Gallery", "Leave It to Beaver", and "I Love Lucy".
Books
Again, way too many to list, but The Great Gatsby is my idea of how a novel should be written.

Heroes
Anybody, human or animal, who imperils his/her life or well-being for the sake of another. That's the only definition of a hero. People we simply admire are, well, people we simply admire. They're not heroes.
I began writing prenatally. Sacred to profane to paranormal pretty much describes the range of my fiction. (I suppose it could also describe my life.) As an author for Ellora's Cave, Loose Id, Liquid Silver Books, Cerridwen Press, Samhain Publishing, Double Dragon Publishing, MojoCastle Press, and Changeling Press, I've given my creative impulses free rein. Like the great Willy Wonka as played by the great Gene Wilder, I do believe there is no place anywhere that compares with the worlds created and explored by the imagination.

Who I'd like to meet: A whole lot of people who are dead...and not because I'm a necrophile. I'd also love to meet film-maker Michael Moore, whom I've deeply admired since I saw Roger & Me. He seems like just the kind of blue-collar, no-bullshit guy a Milwaukee tavern brat could relate to! I DON'T WANT TO MEET: People who fancy themselves seductive and like to show off their freakin' body parts. Take them elsewhere.
Yes, I am a proofer at changeling, and I've just edited my first book with them. I love your imaginative stories. You sure can write a love scene. Whew it gets hot in here everytime I read one. The roller coaster scene was fantastic, I predict your fans are going to let you know just how hot it was. Pat
