About L2

Pop duo L2, made up of New York City based sisters Melissa Labbadia, 22 and Jessica Labbadia, 19, have been featured on popular celebrity sites “Kings of A&R” and “Just Jared Jr.”, and have recently made their debut on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Charts into the Top 10 with their single “Boys or Girls” (co-written by Melis & Jess with Jo Blaq and RAS) where they hit #10. Featuring Dance remixes by world-renowned remixers/producers DJ Mike Rizzo & Mr. Mig, Tracy Young, Almighty, and Lenny B, the remixes of “Boys or Girls” are getting regular Radio rotation on National Mix-Shows across the country as well as getting regular club play in many popular Dance clubs nationally. The single is also being played Nationally in rotation on Music Choice Dance and AOL Radio, along with many Internet Radio stations and local FM radio stations across the country.

Their newest single titled "Criminal In Bed" is being played at WCPT-CHICAGO, WPTY, WWAC, Sirius/XM BPM (OVER 100 SPINS), DMX, WBZC, FUSIONRADIO.FM, 1DANCE.FM, I-HEART/PRIDE, AOL RADIO/TOP DANCE, NRRRADIO, 1CLUB.FM, and MYFLEXRADIO.COM.

L2 has recently signed non-exclusive music licensing deals with Dish Nation (Fox TV), DMX, MTV/VH1 Networks and Bunim Murray. Many of their songs have been playing on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" including 7 placements for the "Kim's Fairytale Wedding" episode. They have also had their songs spinning on some of the pilot episodes of "Dish Nation" on Fox TV, along with songs on "Tough Love" and "The Real World: San Diego".

Melis and Jess have been singing, acting, and performing since they were very young. Accomplished singers/songwriters/actresses who recorded their first Demo CD and wrote their first original song in early 2005 in New York City, L2 has performed at a variety of venues, including Manhattan Rock clubs “The Bitter End”, “DROM”, “Arlene’s Grocery”, “The Cutting Room”, and “Coda”, and Cabaret style at “Don’t Tell Mama” in NYC, and have opened for popular acts like Ryan Cabrera, Donnie Klang and Anberlin at several venues in the NY/CT area.

The sisters have also displayed their acting and theater talent playing leading roles in the Off-Broadway production of “Cleopatra – A Life Unparalleled” for which Melissa won the award for “Outstanding Lead Actress” in her role as Cleopatra and Jessica earned a Nomination for “Outstanding Supporting Actress” for her role as Charmian.

Their strong connection as sisters shines through in their music. Their songs display their unique vocal blend and harmonies, incredible lyrics with a life lesson in every verse, along with the hooks that stay in your head for days to come. They recently finished co-writing and recording more than 20 new songs with L2 Entertainment’s powerful team of songwriters/producers: Bobby Amaru (Shinedown, Red Jumpsuit) and Joe Macklin p/k/a Jo Blaq (Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood) and released a full-length CD titled “Beautiful – Special Edition” which can be purchased at www.L2OfficialMusic.com/store Some of the music can be heard here on myspace. They also released a 5 song EP in March of 2008 titled "Who I Am" which they co-wrote and recorded with recording artist Chris August (Fervent Records). The “Who I Am” EP including the hit song "Get Over You" is available on iTunes under their prior name Labbadia Sisters.

The duo has also co-written and recorded 3 songs with famed LA Producer “Eddie G.” (Eddie Galan) (High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Backstreet Boys, O’Town). "It's My Life" is one of the songs featured.

They are continually writing and recording more original songs, where Jess plays piano and Melis joins her to combine their lyrical and melodic ideas. Inspired musically by such present day artists as Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Michelle Branch, Katy Perry, & Avril Lavigne, to 80’s artists like Pat Benatar, Heart, & Joan Jett, they are destined to be giving their fans great music for many years to come!
