About me: Born in 1976, hottest summer of the century, Lemanté got interested in electronic music after hearing Kraftwerk (now that's a cliché!). He started going out round the age of 16 at a local club called Golden.
As a fan of the Teknoville radio-show his first BIG night out was at the legendary Cherry Moon club, where he heard Sven Väth making a crowd go mental and saw Moby doing a live-act (acting mental himself). In those days people didn't categorize music and styles: trance, techno, house, ... everything was mixed up.
Instead of going to rockfestivals (as most youngsters did round that age), Lemanté went to the first edition of the Ten days of Techno in the Red Tape Building. This was his first contact with Ghent's nightlife.
In 1996 Lemanté threw his first party, together with his brother and a friend. In a local castle they organised Freakmission, and invited Jan Van Biesen and Fred Naesen. The party was an instant succes, round 23hrs entrance was closed due to a "full house". Fortunately this party was a one-timer due to new safety-restrictions in the castle. This was also the place where he played his first records.
Some other partys were held in different locations, where he invited/played alongside Buscemi, Mo&Benoelie (the Glimmers), Biens (Culture Club-resident), Phi-Phi, André King Kong, dj Pierre (Fuse-resident), ...
Over the past 10 years Lemanté collected a nice selection of vinyls, keeping an open mind. From the early discogrooves to todays modern minimalsounds, 80's, rave, techno, trance, house, elektro, acid. Never being pinned to one style is what its all about for him.
