Out now is a brand new, totally free online magazine born out of the explosion of creative ideas in the public spaces around us, reclaiming the corporate cityscape, piercing the anaesthetised commute and flooding walls and spirits alike with colour and the power of ideas.
Take me down the path tonight, Into the pitch black, into the dark, Away from this red district light And ignite the sky with your spark. Show me a sign, some sort of clue, A glimpse of the unforeseen, You’re in my mind, I’m thinking of you, You’re bathing in your crystal stream.
Take me through on your sail boat, Riding the current, so easy flowing, The nightingale with his melodic note Sings when your fire is glowing. Make him perform, play to the beat, Emulate all forms of perfection, His petals adorn, the music is sweet, Paradise looks at its reflection.
Take me along as history unfolds, A tale of intrigue, the saga keeps on, The mystery and the magic it holds Show how the celestial mapping was drawn. Stars were united, in arms they arose, Constellations got their moment of birth, Your fire’s ignited, the sky knows The force of your flame and what its worth.
Take me along wherever you’re at, Wherever you go, whatever you do, Wear tonight your Mexican hat And sing to me in the plaza at the avenue. Your belt less skirt, your button decoration- You reign supreme in your mariachi attire, Give me a concert, let’s do some exploration As you set the vacant night on fire.
They never taught me to give in, Revolution is running through my veins, The fertile soil has pigmented my skin, I live to remove those heavy chains- The ones that keep you put, The ones that make your spirit tire, The ones that cover you in soot When they place you in the fire.
I have not been around too long, But it’s a lifetime nonetheless, I’ve heard the message of the new song And seen the bleak gardens of distress. Nothing brings me peace of mind, Things operate to manipulate behavior, In darkness where thoughts are confined They make you bow to your false savior.
The war has been raging on, In battlefields clash mysterious forces, The redness at the break of dawn Quenches the thirst of my rebellious horses. The dust will eventually settle, And there is so much to expose, In the softness of a velvet petal You won’t find the essence of a natural rose.
I fight against what can’t be seen, That which directs the secret operation, Against those that infiltrate your dream And lead to fields of devastation. I have to be who I was born, The honest truth must now be heard, When it’s time to unleash the storm With bandoleers I'll spread the word.
Next time you are in my barrio, let me know and I will buy you your B-Day smoothie!
