We kicked off at the begining of 2006. Tim has being writing for years so we got some of his words over some chords and away it went. We got asked to play some gigs and with scant regard for churching out tightly rehearsed notes by numbers we've been feeling our way ever since. Get out there and get it heard. With over 60 songs written and played we've got a formidable army of the passionate, the talented and the believers. A sense of fun and an ideal of performance each Laarj Dor event has been very different. We've done some poetry readings, open mics, played in an art gallery, played in various fields, done gigs in pubs and clubs both big and small. Every one has had a different set of people playing, in some cases getting members of the audience to come and join in. Some gigs have been solo some have had 10 people on stage. We like to donate experiences for those that have not had any,people in who hermits live don't get out much..oh dear the cabinet has got me again by the flaggon and drained my dubloons.Once the table had taken my guiness i realised my life was in the pint,leaving much strange lifelessness to ponder over. Then the beautiful missus returned and gave me a slap and a fingered behind, which made me jump as life came back bold as brass pipes.

The Old Sweet Shop is 1 year old on 2nd December. It has been a fantastic first year and we would like to thank everyone, customers, visitors, friends and artists alike, for their continued support.
We will be having a party to celebrate on Sunday 2nd December from 1pm till 5pm so please come and join us.
A new exhibition will also be starting to coincide with the birthday party. Throughout December an array of artwork by some of our finest local independent artists will adorn the main exhibition wall.
