Interests

  • General

    Art History, anthropology/archaeology of antiquity, mostly PreColumbian and Latin American artifacts. I want to get into epigraphy, the reading and deciphering of ancient texts/heiroglyphs (maya, egyptian, near eastern cuneiform, other pictographic languages). I am currently TORN between Precolumbian art and art from Ancient Greece. I have to choose what to do my masters in sometime in the near future

  • Music

    My musical taste in a nutshell is very diverse, seeing that i like a bit of everything and can become extremely loyal for long periods of time. All time faves inclued Sublime, MEST, Muse, the Beatles, Bob Marley, Incubus. Im a sucker for classical music (especially piano, violin, and cello). I also am a HUGE Sinatra and Johnny Cash admirer. I listen to a bit of everything....except im not one for country or gospel (but that goes back to the not believing in religion thing mostly...lol). I am currently trying to define my taste - if you want to know what music i am into at any moment, i update my playlist quite often with songs that affect me in that particular time or place. Kings of Leon is one of my newest faves. I also collect vintage vinyl records, but also have a tendency to never throw anything away. Notion

    Movies are my life...you have no idea how movies can shape you into the individual you are now. I have too many to define a "favorite". It changes with the times. I do have all time favorites, but, again, its like asking me what my favorite band is...i like too many to have just one!

    reality TV, greys anatomy, Moonlight, HEROES!!!, LOST, Bones, House, True Blood, Ghost Whisperer, Survivor, America's Next Top Model, So you think you can dance, Lie to Me, American Idol, Real World...i love my TV....it is my life

  • Books

    my newest favorite is the TWILIGHT saga(Stephenie Meyer). PostSecret, Jane Austen books (especially Pride and Prejudice), To Kill a Mockingbird, Harry Potter series, Fear and Loathing, Nicholas Sparks (when I'm in the mood for a good cry), art history and ancient mythology textbooks. I like fanfiction in some genres, bio-inspired books (where you can learn the history of a person and their story). I read just as much as i watch TV or movies, so...i have varied taste

    My mom cuz she's the coolest, my grandpa who i miss terribly, my little brother for being there for me to be brave when i cant be, Stephenie Meyer for creating a world and redefining the tragic love story
