Having toured the U.S. and Mexico extensively with her previous rock effort, Miss Bianca recently wrapped up recording her first solo studio album under the alias "La Catrin" alongside indie hit maker Bob Hoag (The Ataris, The Format, Dear and the Headlights, etc..) in Phoenix, Arizona. The album, titled "Humans are my Keyboards", is a collection of lush dark pop that is equal parts organic and synth orchestrations that have earned her the title of Houston's "local princess of dark pop", according to the local media, where she now resides. With only a handful of shows and an unreleased record, La Catrin is well on her way to making a name for herself in the music industry. The first single off "Humans are my Keyboards", "Reverse Citizens" is featured in the Flying Blanket 2010 studio compilation in which azcentral.com noted it as one of their favorite tracks off the compilation. "Reverse Citizens" also circulated college radio nationwide in a campaign promoting the compilation. Second single off the debut album, "Break You" is part of the soundtrack for the movie "Hated" by Lee Madsen set to be released in 2011 which is loosely based about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Momentum is building, and as La Catrin prepares for her debut show in fall 2010's CMJ festival, you can expect some amazing performances from this rising star! .. ..
