Oh where to begin...I began singing before I could talk. I actually think I sang my first word! I spent my younger days listening to my grandma and grandpa sing together. Some of the best days of my life that I will remember forever are sitting around a campfire as a kid listening to my whole family sing acapella and having people around the entire lake come over just to listen. I will never forget the sound of my grandmother's voice, as long as I live, it was heavenly. My grandpa is one of my biggest hero's. He is in his 80's and still playing his guitar and singing...some of the best songs that were ever written in my opinion came from that man! My grandma was the coolest....I don't even think I realized how talented she really was until after she had already passed....I mean come on the woman played the drums even at the age of 73! :) She was the coolest woman I've ever known. Sometimes i'd give anything to get those days back. I stepped on a real stage for the first time at age nine. The first time I did I knew I had found what I was destined to do. My love for music only grew stronger as I began to travel at age twelve. I spent most of my time singing for rodeos, competitions, weddings, festivals, fairs....anything I could get my hands on. I remember singing for the Nebraska state fair at age 12 and receiving three standing ovations. That was the first time I experienced that feeling of being on stage, that feeling that you musicians know what I am talking about....you're on top of the world and no one can touch you, or take it away from you. I have felt that every time I have stepped on a stage since then. :) I bought my first guitar when I was sixteen. I began to write and play, but it wasn't until I was 19 that I had really started to find my nitch in my writing. I co-wrote and recorded my first hit song with an amazing writer, Ron Grimes, called "The Ring". After we wrote that song, I began to write more and now I have been playing and writing my own material for about 5 years. I grew up all along the central states, born in Kansas, but lived in Nebraska, Oklahoma and ended up in Texas. I spent the last six years perfecting my stage presence, writing, and creating an amazing fan base in Dallas. They are a tough crowd to crack those Texans, but once you do, they are the most amazing fans you could ever have! I spent the last year working on a big stage opening for acts such as Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Byrd, Clay Walker, Aaron Watson, Jason Aldean, and many more. We played for about two to three thousand people a night and it was an amazing experience. It definitely prepaired me for things to come. I am now living in Nashville, going on four weeks. I am currently writing, playing as much as I can, and learning more about this business. I am always willing to learn and willing to work as hard as I need to make this dream of mine come true. I am absolutely loving life right now and living it up! I believe music speaks in a way that nobody could ever find words for and that is why it is my passion. Some people live to have everything in the world, but if I had nothing but a guitar in my hand for the rest of my life and my family....that would be enough for me!
