The artist La.Dee.Dred is no stranger to the musical forum. From the church house to the world, it has all been her stage on which she plays a major part on a daily basis, whether shes singing, writing lyrics or simply providing encouragement
From the American sounds of Motown to Caribbean sounds of Jamaica, Belize, Haiti and Ethiopia, La.Dee.Dred has been blessed by Jah to put it all together and render a sound of sweetness by either doing background (best known for her harmonies), rearranging songs, creating lyrics and co-producing.
She has worked on local and international projects including live performances and studio, with such artists as Ras Michael, Isaac Haile Selassie, Dakeye, Jr. P, Black Ice, FleshnBone, 50 Cal, David Arkenstone, Tsegaye B. Selassie, First Church of Rasta Chambers Review, Bella Carib, Jr. Walker, Ta-Ta Vega, Jamie Collins, Brenda Holloway, Caston & Majors, Andre Crouch, One Love Band, Ghost Band, Phoxx Band, Howard McCrarey, Teri De Sario, The Heaven Band, Chic Band, The Real Deal Band, Julie Robbins, David A. Brooks, The John Barnes Gospel Project, Natural Hygh, Doc Holiday, 2-Gun/Los Angels, West Angeles Choir, and Roots & Thunder.
Her credentials also include acting/commercials for Coming To America, Eddie Murphy; Twins, Arnold Schwarzenegger; L.A. Law; Yamaha Keyboards; Azusa Street Revival Play.
La.Dee.Dred was recently nominated by The Black Music Awards in the Alternative Music category in Los Angeles, taped February 11, 2006, airing on Channel 7 ABC Television.
This Ladys flava of music stems from everyday real life situations. She is always mindful to give Jah all the praise for his guidance and blessings and sees the perfection in everyone and in all things, most importantly the children, the remembered and forgotten.
Her passion and love is expressed in all her endeavors and her unique creativity offers a song for every woman, man, boy and girl, bridges any sense of separateness that may exist and addresses what we all need and feel.
La.Dee.Dreds audiences are captivated and hooked from the first time they share the experience she offers and leave (hesitantly) on the natural high she instills with every performance.
