About me:

I'm Alyson. I'm 23, and for the first time in my life, I'm happy. I have a best friend that happens to be my husband, a brand new son who is the light of my life, and a completely snugglable dachshund, who is the Samwise to my son's Frodo. (that's his name, too. The dog, not my son) I've been accused of being shy, demonstrative, theatrical, and geeky. Short-statured and "too old for my age" are right on the mark as well. The best job in the world is mine! I'm a stay-at-home mom. It's not an easy job, mind you - sometimes I wish I had some monotonous task to drone my way through instead of the constant insanity of an infant - but I wouldn't trade it for the world. My son's smile lights up my whole world, and I can't imagine missing a single toothless giggle. I'm an excellent cook. People are happy when they are eating, and I love nothing more than to make people happy. Sometimes, I like to throw together elaborate banquets - china, cocktails before dinner, the works - in our home, just for the fun of it. I feel like a little girl playing "Tea Party".

LOVE all the Trek movies, and I'm waiting on eggshells for the new one (which I was PROMISED as a birthday present... then they moved the date back to summer. Grr.) Love historical movies: Braveheart, Gladiator, Rob Roy, and fantasies/legends: Excalibur, Conan, Robin Hood-Prince of Thieves, Ivanhoe. Love Labyrinth and Star Wars (Star Wars and Empire only, though - I'll take tribbles over Ewoks any day.), James Bond and old black and white horror films. Like some Anime - but I'm more particular about it now, than I was in high school.
