    Locks of Love - provides hair pieces to financially disadvantaged children under the age of 18, suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. (currently letting my hair grow to the required length)
    Caps for Kids - this group collects hand knit caps and scarfs for babies and children undergoing cancer treatment and other life-threatening illnesses. (This one I'm currently working on as it's pretty personal to me.)
    Warm up America - this group collects a 7 x 9 inch rectangle, either knitted or crocheted, and assembles them into afghans, and donates them to the homeless, disaster victims, and shelters for battered women.
    Project Linus - this is a group that I've heard lots about since we have TONS of quilting shows. They take donations of quilted, sewn, crotched, or knitted blankets, and hand them out to children who are ill, traumatized, or in some other way in need of a security blanket. Be sure to check out the site for sizes and patterns.
    Snuggles Project - is a group who donates items to animal shelters, for all our furry friends who have been treated badly. They take donations of quilted, sewn, crochet, or knitted items, for our furry friends. Check the site for more information.
    ASPCA - need I really say more? This of course, is The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; because they need a voice! Check them out for various things you can do to help our animal friends.

    I have lots of interests, mostly based around the Paranormal, Mythology and Folklore. For some reason, I love the unexplained and things that actually make you go...hmmm. If the History Channel, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, or Sci-Fi Channel has any kind of programs in those categories, you can bet I'm going to be watching them...LOL.

    I love anything that has to do with the Titanic as well, it fascinates me to no end to hear stories about the people who survived and died on the ship. The ones that are most dear to me, are the love stories of the ship. To me the Titanic was romance in itself, even though it did meet a tragic end.

    I am also really interested in Forensic type stories as well. I love to watch CourtTV and although, yes, I know it can be scary because it does happen everyday. I like to learn about it, I am so amazed at how they can catch the bad guy, by just using a carpet fiber or even animal fur. Just goes to show, you better be good, because if you do break the law, you will get caught eventually.

    I love to learn new things as you can see, no matter what it might be. Whether it be History, Paranormal, or just events that happen today, if it's something that makes me stop and think...I LOVE IT.
