Formed in 2000, Lady Bombon is a boy and a girl from Mexico City who use samplers, rhythm boxes, keyboards and guitars to make a brilliant and strange new rhythm fusion. Chuchelas (the boy) and Hongo (the girl) blend punk, pop, rock, and electro, inspired by the 80s and 90s sounds they both grew up listening to. Originally, the two made music just for fun, as something that relaxed them, but after they recorded their first demo and gave it to friends, they realized it could be something more than just a hobby. The two then began to play in bars and other venues and with different bands.
By 2006, lady bombon decided to include drums on their live act giving a powerful sound to the band, and in 2007 the added as well a bass becoming a full live band now combining the electronic sound they always use.
What Lady Bombon proposes is that taking music seriously also means playing for fun, living in the moment and making that moment feel better. Such musical play involves experimentation--developing sounds unlike the other music out there. Fun and games are a part of Lady Bombon's visual look, too--the band performs in wild costumes that rhyme with their wide range of musical influences.

Lady Bombón es una banda de México DF formada en el 2000, Chuchelas (el) y Hongo (ella) utilizando cajas de ritmos, guitarras y sintetizadores, crearon una extraña mezcla de ritmos inspirados en los sonidos de los 80’s y 90’s .
Originalmente, Lady Bombón comenzó a hacer música como un escape al estrés y vida cotidiana, pero después de grabar su primer demo y repartirlo entre amigos, se dieron cuenta que podían hacerlo mas en serio que un simple hobby, así que comenzaron a tocar en diferentes bares y lugares alternando con diferentes bandas.
En 2006, el dueto decide agregar una batería en vivo con el fin de hacer el sonido mas potente y en 2007 agregan un bajo quedando así como cuarteto.
Lady Bombón propone que, tomar la música en serio también es tocar por diversión, vivir el momento y hacerlo optimo para sentirse mejor. la diversión es parte de Lady Bombón, y eso se nota en sus shows en vivo.
