About me: Ever since she was a little girl Lady C has loved records! She used to sit on the floor of her parents living room staring at the covers of their records. Raised as an only child in the mundane town of Fountain Valley, Orange County, Lady C quickly fell in love with music. She spent countless hours of her adolescence buying records, listening to the radio, making mixed tapes, and cutting out pictures of her favorite bands. As she got older she never out grew this phase and her record collection got bigger and bigger. One night while visiting a Los Angeles bar the turntables in the corner caught her eye and she noticed various people taking turns spinning tunes. “I could do that”, she thought. She saw an opportunity when an acquaintance of hers was putting together a psychadelic showcase and she quickly volunteered. She did not tell the promoter it was her first gig, she instead raced to her local record store where she knew there were two turn tables and a mixer set up at all times. She walked in the door and offered $20 to any employee that would show her how to cue up a record and mix. They did and her first gig was a success. Since then she has shared her record collection with the likes of Detroit Bar, The Bigfoot Lodge, Vida, Vine Bar, Tangier, various art opening, and now Little Radio.
