Met in our local, became friends, became jazz duo - will soon take over the world. Sophie also plays cello and sings in the folk band Magpie Lane and plays cello and sings backing vocals for Phil Bentley. As well as accompanying, Antonia also teaches the Junior Music Course at Matrix Music School (www.matrixmusicschool.co.uk).
We are looking forward to seeing our friends next weekend (10th to 12th July) at Roger's Rant - a Dorset celebration of traditional & contemporary folk music, song and dance. There will be some of the best of local amateur singers and musicians as well as some from further afield. There is also the opportunity for aspiring singers and musicians to have a go in a friendly atmosphere at the Sports Club. The Village Hall will be used for the dance workshops on Saturday & Sunday afternoons, with a Ceilidh on Saturday evening.
Hello Sophie :] How're you? I hope your well, you'll be pleased to know I've been practising this weekend although it hasn't sounded to great. Saw that you were on so I thought I'd drop you a quick comment, hope you've had a nice weekend :] Love Katie ♥xxx
Indeed indeed buddied up on the frantic, rather scary world of myspace. But it was so so lovely to properly meet up on Boxing Day and would be even more lovely if it was to be a somewhat more regular affair. Besides I think both gaby and I want to line up for some singing lessons - mine because obviously my shower head microphone album needs some work and her's becuase she's actually been singing to her hearts content locked in a room with newly set up 8 track studio. We're both agreed your version far surpasses Joni Mitchell - where is the recording, it must be on the land of myspace, surely, your people need you =) Right I seem to be on a usual ramble, but lovely to hear from you, hope alls well and the kids are treating you well. Speak soon, lots of love gxx
Hey where are you? Have you become a housewife? Is the X banned from your going places list? Just because we couldn't make the wedding... I did send you a message... did you get it? Come back and sing to us... pleeeeeeese. Missing you. Hugs & Woofs.
Hello Sophie! We have had a good summer, dressing up in lots of stripey clothes and going to festivals. Hope you have had a nice summer too....lovely to see you today, all the best for this exciting weekend!

wicked, let me know about the brighton gig and i will be there despite evil plans afoot to lure up to oxford. your gig is a really good excuse to stay put and not go anyway. i really am so lazy but i am loving the whole summer in brighton thing!
Hello sweetie! I haven't got transport for the gig on 16th, and I therefore didn't book a ticket, but we are going to Cornbury this w/e hopefully, and probably the "Half-Moon" wedding next week (sadly can't remember their names, but apparently we are invited!!) Me and Bryony like to get around, may even make it to the beginning of the session this Sunday to show her off...
so how was robert's birthday? i didn't make it, i am being really crap at going tooxford at the moment, i am having too much fun in brighton! when are you playing down here next?
