Everything I've read so far from Isaac Asimov including the Foundation serie,
Dune (the original stuff, not the hundreds of sequels and prequels),
Aldous Huxley's A Brave New World (a chilling view of a possible future),
Sherlock Holmes (I love that cocaine addict guy),
Bob Morane,
The Vampire Chronicles and The Lives of the Mayfair Witches from lady Anne Rice,
La Grande anthologie de la science-fiction and La Grande anthologie du fantastique (great, great short stories, it's in French, but they're all translations from mostly american writers).
Some really great stuff from Quebec I've recently discovered (in French) :
Joël Champetier's La Taupe et le Dragon (a great science-fiction book, really, really good!!);
From Natasha Beaulieu : L'Ange écarlate and L'Eau noire (delightful, it's sort of gothic urban stories set in Montreal, London and Penlocke. A must read!).
From Patrick Senécal : 5150 rue des Ormes and Aliss, (he must be feed up with hearing this, but if you like what Stephen King is writing, you'll love what Patrick Senécal writes. I'd dare say it's better. There, I said it.)
Also from Claude Bolduc : Les Yeux troubles (an anthology of shorts stories that will send shivers down your spine!).
Pierre-Luc Lafrance's Y a-t-il un héros dans la salle ? (fantasy with a big touch of humor. You liked Shrek ? You'll love Pierre-Luc! Read it and pass it on to your kids).
There is also Solaris magazine, wich has 4 issues a year and publishes short stories and articles about SF, fantasy, fantatic. Really cool magazine!
And I'll finish with three great fanzine :

Du côté québécois, quelques très belles découvertes faites ces dernières années :
La Taupe et le Dragon de Joël Champetier (excellent roman de science-fiction, mais alors là, vraiment excellent !);
L'Ange écarlate et L'Eau noire de Natasha Beaulieu (tout simplement génial, du gothique urbain se passant à Montréal, Londres et Penlocke);
5150 rue des Ormes et Aliss de Patrick Senécal (horrifiant à souhait !);
Les Yeux troubles de Claude Bolduc (frissons dans le dos, un recueil de nouvelles à lire !);
Y a-t-il un héros dans la salle ? de Pierre-Luc Lafrance (hilarante parodie des contes de fées ! À lire et à passer à vos enfants !)
on change de registre pour aller vers Chercher le vent et Carnets de naufrage de Guillaume Vigneault.
Il y a aussi la revue Solaris qui est un incontournable et, du côté des fanzines : Brins d'éternité, Nocturne et Horrifique. C'est quoi un fanzine ? C'est qui ces fanzines ? Cliquez sur les liens plus bas et cliquez, ça vaut le détour je vous l'assure !! Bien sûr, ce ne sont que quelques-uns des livres que j'aime...

Young writer looking for readers... boy are they a race hard to find ! I've always been fascinated by fantastik, horror and science-fiction stories. J'ai toujours été fascinée par les histoires fantastiques, d'horreur ou de science-fiction ! Toute jeune, j'avais déjà un oeil sur Actarus (eh oui le mec dans Goldorak !), Albator le beau pirate de l'espace et l'aventurier Bob Morane !
Je crois fermement que je suis née un livre à la main et je tente maintenant d'infiltrer les mondes imaginaires en ensorcelant ma plume pour traverser les pages qui abritent ceux que je considère comme mes amis. Un peu fêlée la fille ? Mais la frontière entre la folie et la magie est bien mince...
